Chickpea Salad with Red Onion and Tomato

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2009
Delicious! I cut the oil to 1 tbsp and, like other reviewers, added 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar. The result was excellent! The fresh parsley really makes this dish!

Asian Ginger Dressing

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2009
Very tasty! Definitely use both sesame and olive oils, though - I used only olive oil as that was all I had, and it came out tasting a bit too strongly of soy sauce. With 1/4 cup sesame oil, this definitely becomes a 5 star recipe!

Healthy Garden Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2009
Nice, light, fresh taste! If your family aren't big cilantro fans, you can cut the cilantro in half, as I did - you still get a light lime-cilantro flavour without the herbs being overpowering. I also used olive oil instead of grapeseed, and cut the amount by a third (2 tbsp instead of 3), and it came out great!

Deliciously Sweet Salad with Maple, Nuts, Seeds, Blueberries, and Goat Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2010
I made this for a dinner party, and people could not stop telling me how delicious it was! For personal preference, I used almonds instead of walnuts, and used all feta cheese instead of a feta/goat cheese combination. I also added grape tomatoes and cut the oil slightly to 3 Tbsp, to make it slightly healthier. The dressing still tasted delicious, and was enough to cover two bags of romaine lettuce. Amazing - a real keeper!

No Bake Choco-Peanut-Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2011
Delicious! I read other reviews before making these, and followed their recommendations: I cut the sugar to 1 1/2 cups, used 4 Tbsp peanut butter instead of 3, and 2 tsp vanilla instead of two. Most importantly, I boiled the mixture for 2 1/2 minutes instead of 1 1/2, which apparently is the key to making them set. Mine came out great - I would even try cutting the sugar a little bit further next time, as they were pretty sweet. All in all, though, a definite keeper!

Chinese Cabbage Salad I

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
Delicious! I cut the oil in half and subbed Splenda for the sugar, and it still tasted great! Like other reviewers, I'd advise letting the salad sit so that the dressing can soak into the cabbage. You can also use slivered almonds instead of cashews, if you prefer. Great!

Crispy Cucumbers and Tomatoes in Dill Dressing

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
A good, solid variation on a common theme. I cut the oil to 2 tsp, and increased the dill to 1 tbsp, and it tasted great. I'll definitely be making this again.
