Cornmeal-Crusted Black Bean Burger

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2012
Easy to make! I sprinkled the cornmeal on my pan, then put the bean mixture down on it. At the time I flipped the burgers, I put more cornmeal on the pan. That way, I didn't have to use any oil! Wonderful taste!

Golden Beet Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2012
Since we don't get golden beets here, I used the purple kind. I used only whole wheat flour, and subbed honey for the sugar. I baked it in a pie pan, and it only took 30 minutes! My family finished this in no time! When (if) golden beets ever become available here, I know I'll have to try this recipe with them! Until then, I'll make this with the purple beets again! Thanks for the recipe!

Easter Rice Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2012
I used my typical pie crust recipe. Because I only wanted d1 pie, I used half of all the ingredients for the filling, except that I forgot to divide the ricotta cheese amount! I used honey in place of the sugar. I didn't think much of this as a dessert after a full meal. Later, when I tasted it alone, I really enjoyed the light taste! Great recipe!

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2012
This is a good recipe as is. I also like to use coconut and chocolate chips for the recipe. For Easter, I used chopped jelly beans instead of the chocolate chips! It was colorful and it tasted wonderful!

Cinnamon Noodle Kugel

I made spelt egg noodles for this. Instead of sugar, I used honey to sweeten this. I omitted the topping, but sprinkle cinnamon all over the top once baked! It was a delicious hit that we enjoyed both as a dessert and as a breakfast meal! Thanks for the recipe!

Quick and Easy Oatmeal Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2012
I used this recipe as an inspiration. Because I used honey, the batter was too liquidy, so I needed more flour and oatmeal. I still didn't think there was enough batter to fill the muffin pans, so I mixed 2 T cream cheese with 2 T peanut butter, then filled partially batter filled cups with a dab of peanut butter filling, and covered with more batter. We loved the oatmeal tasting muffins! The recipe served as quite an inspiration! Thanks!

Irish Boxty

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2012
Because of being orange Irish, I used pumpkin puree instead of the leftover mashed potatoes in this! I chose to make these with rye flout. I omitted the oil, frying on a pan that had been sprayed. At first I thought them rather strange, but these are a comfort food, so I ended up really enjoying them!
