Apple vs. Pumpkin

Apple and pumpkin are two classic Fall flavors that embody the season. And while everyone has a favorite I just can’t pick one over the other because I love them both.  Now that I can make recipes using SPLENDA(R) Sweetner I don’t have to choose because SPLENDA(R) Sweetner provides all the sweetness of sugar without all the guilt!

Here are a couple of recipes using SPLENDA(R) Sweetner that were absolutely delicious! Give ‘em a try and see for yourself…

About Me
I got into cooking and baking as a way to relax. I recently got married and this site is a life saver!! Now I don't have to leaf through recipe books. Everything is right here in one spot. I used to watch both my grandmothers and they could come up with just about anything! I don't have a lot of their old recipes, but I have been able to find similar things on this site. My Grandma Helen was a phenomenal baker and my Grandma Jean is still one of the best cooks I know. My husband is eternally grateful for their influence.
My favorite things to cook
Buffalo Wings - Our neighbors can't get enough! I won't be posting that recipe on this site. It's a secret I'll take to the grave!!! They're that good!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Turkey at Thanksgiving!!!
My cooking triumphs
Making spaghetti sauce for the first time. I thought it was something only my mother could do - but, it turned out fantastic!
My cooking tragedies
The first time I attempted a potatoe casserole using all fat free ingredients - it was absolutely disgusting! It had a horrible aftertaste and ended up right in the garbage.
