As far back as I can remember Ore-Ida was a staple in my family.  My Mom used to make French fries to go with burgers, tater tots to go with sloppy joes, and Easter dinner wasn’t complete without my Grandmother’s famous potato casserole using Ore-Ida hash browns.  Now I find myself craving this comfort food plus it’s a quick and easy side dish or ingredient for a lot of my favorite recipes.
Recently I had Ore-Ida French fries alongside Café Style Grilled Chicken Sandwiches from this site which I highly recommend….

About Me
I got into cooking and baking as a way to relax. I recently got married and this site is a life saver!! Now I don't have to leaf through recipe books. Everything is right here in one spot. I used to watch both my grandmothers and they could come up with just about anything! I don't have a lot of their old recipes, but I have been able to find similar things on this site. My Grandma Helen was a phenomenal baker and my Grandma Jean is still one of the best cooks I know. My husband is eternally grateful for their influence.
My favorite things to cook
Buffalo Wings - Our neighbors can't get enough! I won't be posting that recipe on this site. It's a secret I'll take to the grave!!! They're that good!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Turkey at Thanksgiving!!!
My cooking triumphs
Making spaghetti sauce for the first time. I thought it was something only my mother could do - but, it turned out fantastic!
My cooking tragedies
The first time I attempted a potatoe casserole using all fat free ingredients - it was absolutely disgusting! It had a horrible aftertaste and ended up right in the garbage.
