Creme Brulee French Toast

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2009
I first made this recipe for Christmas brunch. It was a huge hit! I can't say enough about how easy and delicious this was. It only took about 10 minutes to prep, then refigerated overnight and popped in the oven in the morning. The "creme brulee" bottom makes this a fancy, almost gourmet dish. I didn't and wouldn't change a thing. I will continue making this over and over again.

Easy Bacon and Cheese Quiche

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2009
My husband and I loved this recipe. This was my first time ever making a quiche and I was very happy with it. I did have to bake it an additional 10 minutes longer then the recipe stated for it to set in the middle. I also followed other reviewer advice and used real bacon PIECES instead of bits and used a combination of cheddar and italian blend shredded cheeses. I also covered the edges with foil to avoid burning. Using the frozen pie crust made this super simple and fast. Will definitely make again.

Krystal's Perfect Marinade for BBQ or Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2010
This was so good! And so easy! The only thing I changed was using minced garlic instead of chopped, because it was all I had. I had everything else already on hand.. This was like a sweety teryaki flavor.. Everyone loved it. A definite keeper - go to marinade! Thanks Krystal!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2010
The only change I made was to use Eddy's slow churned chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream (it has 1/2 the fat of regular ice cream,) instead of just vanilla. It was awesome!! The crust/fudge layer was so freaking good. I also sprayed my spring form pan with Pam, after reading others had issues with it sticking. I did not have any issues, so thanks to the other reviewers! This also looked perfect presentation wise. I had to take a picture and post it for the recipe.. My first ever picture I submitted on here. Thanks Arvillalar! This was an easy, delicious recipe and it is so beautiful looking as well!

This was one of the best things I ever ate!!!! I followed some other's advice, baked at 375, baked the bottom layer 1st for 6 minutes.... dried the roasted red peppers and ham.... It was perfect!!!!! I baked covered for 25 minutes, uncovered for about 15 minutes, I switched some of the cheese, to what I had on hand... added a little garlic powder... So delicious and great looking too. definitely a keeper.. perfect for football get togethers!

Quick and Easy Mexican Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2011
Awesome and Easy! I used a chicken taco seasoning on the chicken before I fried it up in the skillet instead of the seasonings listed. Frying it up and then baking it definitely added to the flavor. Served with Zataran's New Orleans Yellow Rice. This is a definite keeper!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2011
Awesome recipe! Based on other reviews, I added some butter to the chocolate when melting it.. and I added a splash of vanilla to the peanut butter mixture. I used a pastry brush to get the chocolate on the paper liners... Next time, I will make the chocolate layer a little thicker. Everyone who tasted these said they are better than Reese cups! If you have any trouble removing the paper liners, just put them in the freezer for about 10 minutes. Perfect easy recipe!

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2012
This recipe was so good. I left out the nuts because I didn't have any and I forgot to put the vanilla in somehow.. It still turned out perfect. I think I will leave the vanilla out next time, and there will definitely be a next time, because it wasn't needed the first go around. A great fudge recipe.

Cabbage Fat-Burning Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2012
Super easy and really good. This recipe made so much soup, it was more than enough for 2 people for lunches for over a week. Once you have everything chopped, it just all goes in the pot, it doesn't get easier than that. I simmered it for over an hour.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2012
As others suggested, I put the chicken breasts in whole, then shredded and added them back in, an hour before it was finished. I did brown it first in a skillet with chili powder and garlic salt. I also added a can of rinsed black beans.. This was so awesome. Everyone loved it. I didn't make the tortilla strips.. just served with store bought ones and taco cheese... This is definitely a keeper!
