About this Cook
Music, dance, and horses are my life. Teaching has always been a part of me. I began instructing horse back riding lessons when I as 12, teaching dance classes by the time I was 15, and ultimately became an English teacher after a tumultuous time going to nursing school and becoming an EMT as I tried to find myself. Nursing school was too boring and life as an EMT burnt me out far too quickly. Teaching just ended up being who I am. I am 29 years old and currently only dabble part time in teaching dance for a non-profit group and spend most of my time enjoying life in the Cascade foothills.

Aloo Phujia
This is fantastic, even if you don't have tomatoes. I often end up eating the leftovers for breakfast. This version doesn't seem spicy to me, but it is full of flavor.

Absolutely Awesome BBQ Sauce
I am an all around rum girl, and after reading the many complaints about how much rum flavor remained in the sauce, I was excited! Well, mine didn't end up tasting like rum at all (no one even knew there was rum in it), but it was still awesome on beef ribs. It was very spicy from the Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce, which was exactly what I was hoping for. It was not too sweet or too salty to me. Perhaps it depends on the brands you use. I used Sriracha for the chili sauce, Kikkoman Tamari Soy Sauce, and Monarch Silver Rum. Also, I was out of fresh garlic, so I used two teaspoons of garlic powder instead. Thanks for sharing this recipe. I will be making this again. For those of you that managed the extreme rum flavor, let me know what brand you used, please! I'd like it more rummy! ;)

Cornish Hens with Garlic Cream Cheese
This recipe turned out great. The only thing I did different was that I was able to split an 8oz package of cream cheese between 3 game hens because I couldn't fit anymore than that inside of them. Husband said it was delicious and my kids didn't complain. My toddler even loved it.
