Best Italian Sausage Soup

I read lots of the reviews so I decided to add the zucchini late in the cooking time and added spinach too. We like spicy food so I used half hot sausage and half sweet. I used a pound of each. I used fresh basil and cheese stuffed spinach tortellini. I have pest tortellini so I might use that in the winter months since fresh basil won't be available in the quantity that I would want. This soup is a keeper. It smells wonderful while cooking and tastes as good as it smells. Very filling.

Key Lime Pie VII

my son loves key lime pie. this recipe is awesome. the only change I made was to add some lime zest and to bake it for a few more minutes. I have given this recipe to lots of friends. One is not a baker AT ALL. She made this for her family 4th of July party and they all thought that she had bought it. She was so proud. This is so easy and delicious.

The Best Clam Sauce

I gave this 5 stars with my slight changes. I used 2 cans chopped and 2 cans minced clams. It gives a little more "tooth" to the sauce. I added about 1/2 cup of wine to the sauce and cooked it down. Before serving I added the pasta to the sauce .toss and add 1/4 C parmesan cheese. Rough chop some fresh parsley and add. Terrific

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

as is this is a really good recipe, but of course, I can never leave any recipe alone without making it my own. I added about 5 cloves of fresh garlic (instead of the garlic powder)when I put the meat in the crockpot. I also added some good olive oil at the same time. (about 1/3 cup) Next time I will cut down on the amount of water. The broth is really good, just a little too much for my taste, and with the olive oil, there was just too much liquid. I turned the buns into garlic buns (fixed like garlic bread..broiled and all) then added a good kosher pickle as an extra. Awesome.

Double Chocolate Biscotti

I have made this biscotti 3-4 times. I use a mix of semi sweet chips, milk chocolate chips and white chips. I melt some of the white chips after the biscotti cools and drizzle it over. Awesome

Osso Buco

This was awesome with a few minor changes. I deglazed the pan with white wine before adding the vegies just to get all the good stuff that was left on the edges. When the recipe called for water, I used white wine and added about 1/2 of a chicken boullion cube. I served it with angel hair pasta. My family is nuts about pasta. It was sort of like a pasta primavera with all the vegies that were in the sauce. Oh, yeah, I didn't use any dry herbs. The fresh make a major difference. Terrific recipe. Thanks

The only change that I made was to use ground pork instead of ground beef and I left out the msg. Instead of getting the bigger shrimp and chopping, I had the small frozen salad shrimp on hand and used them.

No Bake Lime Mousse Torte

This was really good and simple. I made it the night before as recommended. It tastes much more like a cheesecake but it does have the mousse consistancy. My son loves key lime pie and really liked this too.

Southern Pimento Cheese

I made this to have with fried green tomatoes (by Diana Swenson). My daughter in law hates tomatoes...she loved the fried green tomatoes with this cheese. I've made this cheese a number of times now. Always a hit. I just add a touch more cayenne. Spice is nice.

Chocolate Cappuccino Cheesecake

I made adjustments because I don' like coffee. Instead of the instant coffee I used raspberry flavord instant hot cocoa mix. Instead of the coffee liquour I used Chambord. I didn't double the crust. I think that a cheesecake is about the cheesecake. The crust is merely the vehicle that keeps it from sticking to the pan. I didn't think that the cheesecake was too rich, but it is one of those recipes that you have to actually suck off of fork. My husband likes a much drier, cakey texture. No biggy....more for me.

Easy Slow Cooker Chicken Wings

These taste good, but they fall off the bone too much and are just to sloppy...almost like a soup. When I say fall off the bone...I mean you try to get them out of the crockpot and all you get is the bone.
