Luscious Spinach Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2011
I LOVE this dip, I've been making it for years since I begged the recipe off a cousin at a party he brought it to. I eliminate the mayo all together and add a whole block of cream cheese and some fresh ground black pepper. It comes out creamy, I add a lot of cheese on top and that bakes up nicely, but you need to stir it all together while its hot to get that top layer of cheese mixed back in. This is always a huge hit everytime I serve it.. and now I'm 4 months pregnant and making it for myself!!!

Creamy Italian Dressing I

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
After reading the reviews I decided to do everything exactly as the recipe called for.. but add the sugar a bit at a time to make sure it wasnt too much. In the end I only used about 3/4 of the sugar but the dressing is incredible. This is def the new house dressing in THIS house! Thanks so much for such a simple yet amazing recipe.. I cant wait to have company over so I can show it off!

Roasted Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2010
I liked this recipe, though I altered it a bit. I added a potato, doubled the red bell pepper, and also added green beans. I substituted the broth for one can of beef broth, one can vegetable with herbs broth. Spiced it up a little with garlic pepperm a pinch of sea salt, 1/4 tsp. dried parsely, and a pinch of celery powder. The end result was spectacular. I made this specifically because I had a sore throat and needed something hearty, warm, and healthy.. this fit the bill to a tee and even my picky husband and kids loved it. I think I'll add even more veggies next time!

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
this is by far my favorite thing I make, and I've been making it for yrs..but I change it a bit..I use frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts, dbl the black beans..add 2 cans stewed tomatoes (a must) a small can of salsa verde..and a cup of salsa..only one of the cans of chicken broth plus one can tomato sauce.. and some cumin and garlic powder.. top with crushed tortilla chips, shredded cheese, and sourcream... I have people request that I make this for them regularly..we all love it!

Chicken and Stuffing Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
I can see how this recipe would be good, but as is..it came out overwhelmingly salty..and I consider myself a salt lover. That was my only complaint though. I was telling my mom about this recipe and she said she made the same thing only the "cream of..." soups were replaced with gravy.. I think I'll search for that recipe next time because this was just too salty for me to make again

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2008
I'm really pleased with this recipe. I LOVE mexican rice and order it whenever we go out...I couldnt be happier to have found a recipe where I can make my own at home. It was way easier than I thought it would be and my whole house smelled so good. Instead of the can of tomato sauce I used a can of diced tomatoes with jalapenos and also added about 1/4 cup of salsa. I've made this recipe twice now and the ssecond time I realized I was out of canned chicken broth once I had started but I substituted with most of a chicken Ramen seasoning packet and one cup of water. I will definelty be making this regularly.

Ranch Dipped Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2008
My very picky eaters loved this chicken. I left mine in whole breasts instead of making strips, so I had to cook it for loger but it came out delicious. A lot of the reading did fall off, but there was still plenty. Maybe I wont flip it next time so the breading stays on better. It had a great zesty taste and a nice crispy texture. Tomorrow I'm using the leftovers and mixing it together with fettuccini alfredo and broccoli..it'll go good together. We'll definetly be making this again soon

Baked Chicken on Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2008
I love this recipe..it's a weekly staple in our house. I don't add the dry onion soup mix, I just have never tried it that way, and I DO add one slied up zucchini just to sneak in those veggies, and it comes out great!

Slow-Cooked Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
I love this recipe...and since its cold outside I've been making it just about weekly. I add some extra cumin to mine, and sometimes a jalapeno that I remove after its done for some spice but other than that my whole family gobbles it up..freezes well too!
