Fabulous Wet Burritos

I made these last weekend and they were a hit! I read many of the reviews and made only slight changes to the recipe based on others advice. I substituted on can of rotel for the tomato soup. I also used freshly roasted green chilies (the canned ones have no flavor and are a waste of my opinion). I also baked in a 9x13 pan as suggested by others. Served with choice of toppings...homemade guacamole, sour cream, black olives, lettuce and tomatoes. Added a nice yellow rice as a side dish. Great dinner and will be making again.

Roasted Lemon Herb Chicken

My new favorite roast chicken recipe. I'll be making this one again. For the most part, I followed the recipe exactly. As others suggested, I did rub spices under the skin...also added about 1/2 tsp of kosher salt to the spice mixture. I stuffed the cavity of the chicken with a lemon, cut into quarters, and 4 smashed garlic cloves. I served with "orzo and kale" recipe from this site, along with a whole grain baguette....and a nice bottle of wine. Wonderfully, simple....and makes the house smell great!

Whole Grain Healthy Banana Bread

I don't normally write reviews, but am very impressed with this recipe. DH & I have made gret strides in making better food choices. Low-fat, low-suger, whole grains etc. I've really been missing baked goods. It seems that so many of the healthy recipes just don't cut it for me. Gummy, lacking in flavor. I'd rather go without than have a mediocre banana bread. This recipe surprise me. It's good! It's really, really good! I will be making again. I used Splenda brown sugar and added cinnamon & nutmeg per other reveiwers suggestion. I used 4 bananas (cause that is what I had on hand) and 1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce. Other than those changes, I followed the recipe. The bread is moist and tastes like a banana bread should! Even skeptical DH took two slices to eat during his commute this morning.

Gingerbread Cake

Excellent! I followed the directions exactly, except I baked the cake in a bundt pan for 38-40 minutes. Served warm with the orange glaze. Tastes like Christmas! Next time I will double the orange glaze.

Rhubarb Meringue Dessert

This recipe is just really, really good. If you are a fan of rhubarb desserts, give this one a try. I followed the recipe exactly. I'd never done a meringue before and was a little turned out beautifully! I served it warm from the oven and am looking forward to trying it chilled tonight.

I followed the recipe to a T. The texture of these is rather odd...kind of a "muffin bread"??? Just not what I expected with a yeast bread/dough. will not be making these again.

Ham and Cheese Bowties

I've made this recipe 3 times. This is a great recipe to work from...then add your own favorite cheese(s). The white sauce is just perfect as written in the recipe. My favorite combination of cheese includes equal parts of mild cheddar, swiss and gruyere. Oh so good!!!

Easy OREO Truffles

These are my daughters favorite treat. She is turning 6 this week and has requested these as a birthday treat. She has re-named them "chocolate meatballs". Wonderful treat for both kids and adults. I make them with almond bark coating and drizzle with dark chocolate. The look beautiful!

Double-Delight Peanut Butter Cookies

This cookies were crispy, I prefer soft and chewy. Also, the peanut butter filling was very runny, so added additional powdered sugar to make it easy to roll into balls. Good flavor, but not a "do-over" at my house.

Marinated Shrimp

I made this recipe for a holiday get-together. I had two requests for the recipe. It was very good...but I thought the shrimp were better the next day (as I had a few left over). Also, since I really like time I will add more.
