About this Cook
I live in SPokane WA I have three adorable kiddos and have been married to my husband Bill for almost ten years. I ama girl scout troop leader and I work at my church- cooking is about yummy fast and easy foods for my busy life!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake! I especially enjoy pies, the best one I make is an apple crumble pie which is delicious. My family doesn't consider it a holiday until I bring out the pie!! I also love to make stews, soups and chilis, living in the inland northwest, we have long snowy winters and nothing is better than a hearty bowl of soup or stew on a freezing night. In the summer I love to bbq and make pasta salads, we eat outside every night on the patio and I love food that only needs a paper plate and your fingers!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking goodies for family and friends with my daughter, making fudge for my husband and bbq on the patio with my family, nothing is more relaxing and delicious. It is truly the best part of summer!
My cooking triumphs
I mastered really yummy homemade spagetti sauce that my husband can't live without, I am no longer allowed to buy the jar kind! Also, making a perfect batch of my late mother-in-law's chocolate fudge. I had the ingredients, but no recipe and after four failed batches the look of delight on my husband's face when I got it right was really special. I love how something like fudge can remind you of loved ones in such a powerful way.
My cooking tragedies
The four failed batches of fudge and a chocolate peanut butter bar that I put in a 9x13 pan instead of a jelly roll pan and it came out black on the edges and liquid in the center-yuck!!

Remarkable Fudge
Sooooo delicious! I followed the directions exactly, it was very easy and turned out great. I made another batch using peanut butter chips instead of chocolate chips, and it turned out perfectly. A great holiday fudge or a treat for your family.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie V
This pie was easy to make but the texture was a too thick, I made it twice and both times had the same results. OK, but not my favorite.
