I am a college student and mother to a 7 month old boy. It doesn't leave a lot of time for the type of cooking and baking, but I love trying new recipes and testing them on my family.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking. My favorte things to bake are pecan pie, zucchini bread, and cookies. I make a mean cheesecake. I love making Korean food, and get authentic recipes from my mother, who was born and raised in Inchon.

Trying a new recipe and having it turn out wonderfully. :)
My cooking tragedies
I've made some awful mistakes trying to amend or substitute in recipes. I've found that for me, especially when baking, it is best to stick with the recipe.

Baked Kale Chips

Zucchini Herb Casserole
I followed the advice of all other reviewers (tripled spices and garlic save for salt) and added one shredded, cooked, chicken breast to casserole. Take our one full tbsp of oil and a cup of sharp cheddar, and you will find yourself a healthy, nutritious meal! Will def make again, with the same modifications.

Korean Sushi
I agree with Jamie. This sounds awful. I can't imagine my mother putting canned tuna in kim bob, although she did say it works well with leftovers. We've done strips of steak, bulgogi, I can even see chicken in it. Normally, you'll find imitation crab, pickled radish, carrot strips, spinach cooked down in sesame seed oil along with the egg and rice.
