Spinach and Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: May 12, 2011
We LOVED this salad! I didn't have poppy seeds, but it was terrific anyway. :) Served it with a spicy glazed salmon and they complimented each other well.

Homemade Maple Syrup

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2010
This is TERRIFIC!!! Used all white sugar and it tastes almost exactly like real maple syrup! Next time I'll try it with brown and white sugar. I will warn you though, if you're recycling a bottle that had store bought syrup in it, let the syrup cool before putting it in the bottle. Mine melted and then I had a "DUUUUUUUUHHHH! That was stupid!" moment. :)

Homemade Crispy Seasoned French Fries

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2009
These were really good! I added extra salt and some ground red pepper to put some extra kick to them. I made the batter thick and coated sweet potatoes (skins on). The spicy outer coating giving way to the sweeter inside was just excellent! Fried them at 375 for about 3-5 minutes.

Split Pea Soup without Pork

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
I make my split pea almost the exact same way. I add half an onion and 1-2 cloves of garlic. I cheat with the carrots and buy the shredded ones. Works great! Some people like it smooth. For a different texture you can put it through a blender in batches. If the soup is too watery (there are two styles), it cooks down rather rapidly. Just know that thick left over split pea soup will look a lot like Campbell's Condense. You'll have to add water. :)

These were AMAZING!!! I made half of them according to recipe and added chocolate chips to the other half. The entire family has said these are a must-make-again cookie!
