Buttermilk Pancakes II

I've made this twice now. Its the fluffiest, home made pancakes I've ever had. Don't over blend the batter.

Amazing Pecan Coffee Cake

I made this last week and its delicious. I used some of the other suggestions and made it in a bundt pan. Putting the topping in the middle rather than on top. Very tasty. Will make again.

Grandma's Peach French Toast

I don't give 5 stars too often, but this recipe was definitely deserving of the highest rating. I made it exactly as the recipe dictated abnd it was delicious. I do wish it had stuck to the break more (the peaches were loose im the bottom of the pan) but other than that it was amazing. The brown sugar mixture made the bread melt in your mouth. Just make sure the bread is covered in the egg mixure. This keeps it from drying out and gives it a buttery flavor. I will try this again with apples!

Basic Crepes

This is an easy and delicious recipe. Based on the comments/suggestions, I have a few warnings. Another reviewer suggested putting a pat of butter in the pan before pouring in the batter. Don't do this if you are using a non-stick pan. That will make the batter roll around when you are trying to coat the pan with it. Second, as another reviewer suggested, mix all the wet ingredients together, then sift in the flower. Doing it the way the recipe suggests, makes for a lumpy batter; not unworkable, but not pretty. Tastes delicious as sweet breakfast crepes. To save time you can serve it with a fruit compote. Cheers!

Sugar Coated Pecans

My kids and I get cinnamon roasted pecans every time we go to Navy Pier. Now we can make them at home. This recipe is delicious and easy to make. I only needed one egg white, but I doubled the cinnamon (as others suggested). Will be making this again!

Apricot Brown Sugar Ham

I made this on Easter and it was delicious. I bought a pre-cooked 10 lb brown sugar ham, so I skipped the brown sugar in the glazing and just used the apricot jam with the mustard powder. Be sure not to overcook the ham or it will taste dry. 3 hours at 275 degrees will do it for a 10b ham. Delicious!

Creamy Chicken Pot Pie

This recipe is relatively easy to make and tastes great. I shredded the chicken in the food processor rather than cubing it. I sautéed sliced carrots, peas, diced onions and chopped celery in butter then added the shredded chicken to the pan. I allowed the chicken and veggies to soak up the butter, then stirred in the Philadelphia cooking cream. After the cream was completely stirred in, I added it to the pie dish and covered it with the pie dough. It came out great and took little preparation.

Banana Pancakes I

Made these today. They came out delicious with a few additions. I added 1/2 tsp of vanilla as suggestion by other reviewers. I also added cinnamon, nutmeg and roasted pecans. Very tasty! Will make again

Ham Broccoli Braid

I've made this twice now and I enjoyed it both times. Its a simple recipe that tastes like a complicated one! I took some of the other suggestions and added sour cream. I also brushed it with butter while it was baking.

Cathy's Banana Bread

Ive eaten a lot of banana bread in my day, but this is easily the best I've ever had. I took one of the other reviewer's suggestions and added another cup of banana (3 mashed banana's total) and instead of all white sugar I used 1 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 cup of white sugar. The addition of cinnamon and nutmeg was a great suggestion too. Loved this!

Dill Cucumber Dip

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite dips. Its easy to make and had a light, refreshing flavor. I didn't use the hot pepper sauce. I used fresh dill instead of dried. I passed the cucumbers (seeded) through the food processor and voila! An easy and delicious dip perfect for football season or parties. Thanks for sharing and go Bears!

Hot Spinach and Artichoke Dip

I made this two weeks ago and it was delicious. Easy to make and restaurant quality. I didn't use the garlic-herb flavored cheese like the recipe called for. However, without it the dip was sill flavorful. I served it with blue corn tortilla chips. Thanks for this recipe!

Garlic Parmesan Orzo

This recipe was amazing! The only change I made is cutting back on the orzo by 1/2 cup (when I inadvertently dumped about half that down the sink) This was creamy and flavorful. I will be making it again.

I dont understand the reviews knocking this recipe it was amazing! Funny thing is I changed NOTHING. All I did was scale it down to four servings and it was delicious. I Will be making this again and again.
