About this Cook
I'm 23 and I've been married since Oct. '09, we had a Halloween wedding. I have a hot temper and I tend to get upset over petty things, but I'm an overall easy-going person. I absolutely love to cook, quite often I've found myself being inspired by something I've seen or read about and I'll get up at 11 o'clock at night just to make it. I absolutely love, love, love hockey (Go Detroit!!) and I love animals. I recently decided to go back to school to finish up my Bachelor's in Criminal Justice.
My favorite things to cook
I am a garlic and basil fanatic and I love cheese - any kind! I'm a chicken and seafood kind of person, and tend to cook that over everything else. I love to cook pastas, as well.
My cooking triumphs
Two things.. the first being making a rice stuffing to shove in my pork chops. I was weary because I was low on spices and didn't use any type of bread, but it turned out delicious. The second being homemade gravy. My family raved about the gravy that I just threw together at the last possibly minute and now they insist on having me make it and won't buy the gravy packets ever again!
My cooking tragedies
Trying to make fried mac and cheese! I actually found a recipe on here and followed it to a T. Unfortunately, the balls wouldn't stay together and we ended up just eating it casserole style.

Coconut Macaroons III
Made these for the first time tonight. They were good, but they taste like they're missing something. I made the recipe exact and I don't know - I can't quite put my finger on what it's missing.. I was expecting these to be like the coconut macaroons you get at the Chinese food buffet, but they weren't very close to that.

Roast Beef Stuffed Shells
This is delicious... granted, I did change the recipe a bit. I chopped up roast beef and filled the shells with swiss cheese, sharp cheddar cheese and the roast beef. I made a homemade mushroom gravy and poured it over everything, then covered with more swiss and cheddar cheeses and baked until nice and melted. Yum.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles
Oh. My. God. I'm not a fan of snickerdoodles at all, but my family is so I made these. I have to say - these turned out absolutely amazing. Definitely saving this recipe and making more in the future! It did only make about 24 cookies for me, though.
