Mushroom and Leek Soup
Really tasty! I used very dry red wine instead of sherry, homemade beef broth and brown rice instead of orzo (it was what I had on hand). Lovely soup for one of the first cool days of fall!

Garlic Linguine
I used fresh herbs and fresh tomatoes and didn't have a problem with it being dry. If anything, I had to let it simmer a bit to reduce the moisture. A good way of using what the garden is giving me right now.

Polish Cabbage Noodles
I learned how to make this dish while living in a very Polish down-state Illinois town. I always use home made noodles (or frozen) and serve it with ham or corned beef. Yum!
