Scallop Scampi

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2005
Excellent! Whomever said it was bland obviously didn't follow directions! I had two big plate fulls! Be careful not to overcook the scallops as I did.

Stir-Fry Pork with Ginger

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2005
This needed something extra. First of all I doubled the soy sc. & rice wine. Then I mixed two tablespoons of cornstarch with two tablespoons of water, then poured into the pan. This makes it much thicker tastes great too.

Very good. So fast and easy, comes out juicy and tender. My husband and child both enjoyed it.

Japanese Chicken Wings

Little too sweet. Next time I'll ease up on the sugar and add more soy sauce.

Texas Ranch Potato Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2005
I was looking for a good potato salad that had Ranch in it because there's a deli here in town that serves something like it. This was the closest I could find and it was delicious!

Banana Pudding IV

I don't even like Banana Pudding and this gets 5 stars from me! My mother-in-law told me this was the best she's ever had!!!

American Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2005
This was good. I doubled the sauce and cheese mixture and used 2lbs of ground beef. I only needed 9 noodles. I don't think there is any need to lay noodles on the very bottom, and don't lay them on very top, they will be hard. Start and end with beef mixture. Then cover with a light layer of mozerella.

Mahogany Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2005
These were great. I marinated over-night for even more intense flavor, cooked on my pampered-chef bar pan (No "turning over" required) for 50 min and they turned out awesome!

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2005
This is my second time making this. If you cut the sour cream back some, this recipe is great. My step-dad almost ate the ENTIRE casserole dish! Since I was short on time, I didn't use onions, but instead mixed in the fried onions into the green beans mixture. LOVED IT!

Bavarian Cream

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2005
I personally was not impressed. I used this recipe for the filling for a 50th birthday cake. Not one comment was made on the filling. This was not my idea of Bavarian Cream.

Giblet Gravy I

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2004
This was great, the only thing I did different was added 2 buillion chicken cubes to richen the flavor, and added chicken livers for the stock. My husband absolutely dispises the giblets so I strained it out for him. He loved the flavor of the gravy though.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2004
This was a HUGE hit at a party. Everybody wanted to know what was in it and I had to write the recipe down 3 times! Thank goodness it was easy to make and easy to remember the recipe. HOWEVER, OMIT THE CHEDDER!!!! This only makes this dish look unappetizing (greasy) and does nothing for the flavor. Trust me, I tried it both ways. Tastes and looks better without it. I used two extra cans of Tyson's chucky chicken and added more of Frank's hot sauce.

Holiday Dressing

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2004
This is by far the best dressing ever. I was cooking for 20 people so I used 18 oz. of cornbread mix without changing the other ingredients. It turned out awesome. I omitted the bell pepper though, since I'm not a big fan of it.

Asian Salmon

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2004
The only thing I would change: ELIMINATE THE GARLIC! I used far less garlic than called for and yet the taste was overwhelming. Doesn't seem to me that garlic and salmon go together...maybe it's just this dish. Otherwise, this would have been perfect 5-stars.

Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2004
This was very good. My husband preferred the sauce that the tenderloin was cooked in, in lieu of the apple-jelly sauce. So he poured the soy-sauce mixture on his meat, while I poured the apple-jelly on mine. Yummy!!!

I was't that impressed with this. I have a feeling it may have been that I wasn't using a good-quality hotsauce.

Philly Steak Sandwich

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2004
I thought the meat was still bland, had to add lots of Worcheister sauce to it. I also cooked the onions and peppers in Worcheister sauce. Used provolone cheese instead of Swiss.
