Thick Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies

These came out great. I did use regular unbleached flour instead of the bread flour and Smart balance for the shortening. The family loved them.

My eleven year old son made this today. He added cloves to the spice mix. One trick we learned is to cook the pumpkin whole. Make slits in it and bake it in the oven for about 45 minutes at 350 degrees. It is so much easier to cut and then scoop out the seeds and flesh.

We did not like this recipe at all. I left it in the fridge to set for more than 2 hours, like others had suggested, and it still came out runny.

Basic Crepes

I added some vanilla to the batter. My kids gobbled them up. I also used whole wheat pastry flour instead of regular...worked great.

Sweet and Sour Meatballs I

Have this cooking right now. Smells good but the sauce is soooo sweet. I am adding vinegar, sour salt, and lemon juice. Hope it turns out ok. I have had this before and usually I like it. I had to make more sauce so added some ketchup and sweet Asian chili sauce. That maybe what is what pushed it over the edge with being too sweet.

Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Just made these for my son's camp. I followed the advice and added extra vanilla and some cinnamon and raisins too. Very moist. I also cut down on the sugar a little bit. These came out great...baked them as bar cookies.

Pumpkin Muffins II

We made this recipe today. We used half brown and half white sugar as someone suggested. These were the best muffins we ever made!!! Our whole family loved them. We used fresh sugar pumpkins and the recipe came out just great. Can't wait to make another batch!!

Blueberry Cornmeal Muffins

I made these recently and they came out great. I used canola oil and followed the advice to dredge the blueberries. That worked out very well. I also added some flax seed too.
