Cream Corn Like No Other

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
A family member requested creamed corn for Christmas dinner. I chose this recipe, and I must say it was a huge hit. I am personally not a fan of creamed corn, and I loved this! In fact, I'm writing this the day after Christmas, and I was just asked "Is there not any more of this?". I will definitely make this again! This will be a family favorite for sure.

Honey Baked Apples

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
We loved these. I had read another review that suggested using apple juice instead of the water. I didn't have any apple juice, but I did have more than enough orange juice so I used that. They turned out so delicious! Mine fell apart during the last 15 minutes. I read others saying that they "exploded". A friend of mine said it would be normal for them to collapse like they did for me, but suggested if I wanted to them to sit up pretty (like in the pictures) to maybe take them out after 45 minutes. Regardless, these were absolutely yummolicious, and will definitely be made again!

Bourbon-Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
Made this for Christmas dinner, and it was so goooood. The only thing I did different was to add a single serving bottle of cola to the marinade, and omitted the water from the pan since I had the liquid from the cola. This was a real hit, and we'll be having this again, no doubt about it. Thanks for the recipe!

I made this Christmas morning, and it was so delicious. It was a tad bit runnier than I would have liked, but it was even tastier reheated the next day! Thanks for the recipe!

Italian Style Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 3, 2009
We LOVED this. I used fat-free saltines, because that's just what we keep in the pantry, and I put a baking rack in the baking dish. I did use the one reviewer's suggestion of using a combination of melted butter and buttermilk. I had some fairly thick chops, so it took a little longer to get them to the desired internal temperature, but the coating was nice a crisp. We will definitely be having this again. In fact, I was just told "you really out did yourself with this one", so thanks for a really fantastic recipe!

Washabinaros Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2010
Made this as-is several weeks ago, and it was such a hit. We loved this. Another cold spell arrived, and when it came to the decision of chili or stew, we're having chili tonight! There was no debate. This recipe rocks. Don't be afraid of all the peppers. For the amount this recipe makes, the spice is just right. Serve with a hot pan of cornbread, and watch it get eaten up! Also freezes pretty well. Makes a nice lunch on a cold day at the office!

Made this as-is, and it is awesome! I think next time I may try adding some garbanzo beans if I use a bigger container. But as it is written, this recipe ROCKS! Thank you!

Honey Baked Chicken

Very delicious! I made it "as-is" and served with brown rice and steamed asparagus. A spoonful of the sauce drizzled over the serving of rice made it even better. This recipe is a definite keeper, and I can't wait to try different variations (but will definitely make the standard recipe again and again, my family loved it).

Cheesy Creamed Spinach

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2010
This recipe is exceptional. I'm not typically fond of spinach, but someone in my family is. I thought this sounded interesting, so we tried it with a nice roast and mashed potatoes. This was hands down a huge hit, and I LOVED IT. (The rest of the family raved about it, so I'll be making this again, for sure!)

Best Beef Dip Ever

Like some others, I was a little skeptical about the amount of soy sauce. But it is so delicious, not too much at all. I served this with mashed potatoes and cheesy creamed spinach. Clean plates all around the table, and even 2nd helpings. Excellent recipe.
