Garlic and Ranch Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2012
These turned out very juicy and tasty and I even used the all white meat ground turkey breast which is even leaner so tends to be drier. I wanted to perk up the recipe a bit and bought the Hidden valley ranch Zesty packet instead of the traditional one and it definitely added a nice zing without being too spicey. This is a keeper.

Personal Portobello Pizza

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2011
This recipe is AWESOME and perfect for low-carb eaters. I agree with others that you need to remove the gills first and the perfect kitchen gadget to do this is a melon baller. I made it with sauce, fresh chopped spinach and basil (from the garden), diced tomatoes, crumbled turkey sausage (Jimmy Dean makes it already cooked and crumbed!) and feta cheese. Yummo!

Emily's Easy Sausage and Spicy Tomato Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2011
Outstanding! A friend brought this to a playoff game recently and served it with Stacy's pita chips. I could NOT stop eating it and ending up getting too full for the chili my husband made :-) I immediately asked for the recipe and will be keeping it in my "its a keeper" file. By the way, Jimmy Deans now makes turkey sausage crumbles if you want to save some fat/calories and it still tastes awesome. Thanks, Emily!

Maple Salmon

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
I have never made salmon before now. I only ordered it in restaurants because I was afraid to make it at home and always thought salmon tasted fishy compared to other fish. Now I know it just needs to be super fresh and that you need to remove the gray matter on the bottom after cooking. That is what tastes fishy as it is part of the skin. This was easy, elegant and excellent tasting. I followed other suggestions and marinated and baked in a foil pouch then opened it at the top for the last 5 minutes under the broiler. I didn't make any changes but I did use pure maple syrup from Vermont which is thicker and richer and I think it gave it a thicker sauce and broiled nicely with a crispy top. Thank you for the great recipe.

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2008
I've been looking for "the perfect marinade" for chicken kabobs and found this. It doesn't say it is for kabobs but it was WONDERFUL on my chicken kabobs I made with chicken, mushrooms, bell peppers, zucchini and yellow squash. This will be a favorite mainstay for a long, long time. Thank you!
