Best London Broil Ever!

I could never get london broil to be tender, and this worked great! I used 1 small can of diced tomatoes with okra, 3 small sliced onions on top, cayenne, salt, added some burgundy wine, covered with heavy duty foil and cooked on 325F for 2,5 hours like others suggested. Tender and juicy, it will probably be the only way I will cook london broil from now on - any sauce can be used, possibilities are endless! This is extremely easy and no-fail recipe - THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Greek Garbanzo Bean Salad

I eat greek salad almost every day but never thought of adding garbanzo beans to it! For this already this recipe deserves 5 stars - what a great idea, they go so well with feta cheese...mmm. Now I'm on garbanzo bean kick and want to add it to everything - which is not bad since chick peas is very healthy and choke full of vitamins. I always use EVOO instead of italian dressing, no garlic and any tomatoes I have on hand. It's also great with any lettuce/spinach. Skip salt - there is plenty there from feta cheese. And the more garbanzo beans you add, the tastier;)

Can't go wrong with all this seafood - yummy! I used mussels instead of clams, omitted crab, used dry italian herbs instead of parsley ( it did have basil in them ) ,added a little tomato juice and totally skipped salt and pepper. Next time I will try to make it as written - I rarely follow recipes exactly;) Beware: there is plenty of salt from tomatoes and seafood ( if you are using frozen ones ), so you might want to add it in the end after trying ready stew first - might be no need for it. Crusty bread is a must with this one as there is plenty of yummy broth!

Lingonberry Jam

I've never made this jam but it looks like the same kind they sell at IKEA - I eat it straight from the jar with nothing else))) Lingonberries being one of my favorite berries can recommend using them everywhere in place of cranberries - so tasty and healthy as they are very good for you!

Pasta de Sardine

I actually thought I invented this recipe))) I have it probably every couple weeks since there are usually lots of canned sardines in olive oil in my pantry))) No lemon,onion and garlic for me though but I add some lettuce/cabbage for crunch. Very versatile like any pasta dish - you can add any veggies you want and if you don't like tomato sauce just use plain sardines in olive oil. Also almost any cheese would do. With whole wheat pasta even healthier!

Great recipe! Since I'm always looking for shortcuts and healthier ways to cook food I used olive oil, didn't sautee shrimp - just put thawed precooked shrimp ( 3 large ones for 1 mushroom cap ), omitted garlic ( didn't have it ). Turned out well! Next time I'll use more salt and some chopped herbs ( rosemary? sage?) and gruyere cheese ( I love anything with gruyere ).

staple for me, normally without garlic and with whole wheat pasta. you can add any veggies you want to this, even sliced almonds/cabbage for some crunch!

Parsley Red Potatoes

These are tasty and good for you - just use olive oil instead of butter! Nice side dish too and looks great with more fresh parsley sprinkled on top!

Sea Bass Cuban Style

It was a nice, simple and healthy dish - what more could you ask for! Also chilean sea bass being one of my favorite fish, I couldn't resist trying it;) Made some changes: used olive oil instead of butter, kalamata olives instead of green ones, unseeded grape tomatoes instead of plum tomatoes, omitted wine, garlic and cilantro. That's what I had on hand. Thanks a bunch for the recipe!

Ukha (Russian Fish Soup)

One of our favorites! Used to make it a lot whenever we went fishing. Add some fresh caviar ( like perch caviar or whatever you have on hand ) for better taste! Also we always use dill weed instead of parsley and a couple bay leaves, which gives the soup unique ''ukha '' flavor! By the way no lemons are used in traditional russian ''ukha''.
