I had never had vinegar pie before but it sounded interesting. I LOVED it and this recipe was easy. It is fantastic with whipped cream and I also doubled the recipe to make a full pie.

Butterscotch Cake I

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2007
Really, Really good. I made this because I accidently bought the butterscotch pudding you have to cook instead of instant. I didn't know what to do with it so I made this cake! I didn't use the chips on top but this cake is excellent without them.

I had a problem with this recipe. The cornbread never cook through and it sank into the means. For me this was a mess.

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2007
I love this cake and make it often. Everyone at work loves it too. I frost it will a 16 oz container of Cool Whip mixed with a box of instant pistachio pudding and it is very moist and fabulous! I bake it in a bundt pan and it comes out perfect everytime.

Very, very good recipe! I added peas and left the carrots whole but other than that followed the recipe. It was a recipe I will make again and again. The potatoes on top are excellent!

Blueberry Cream Cheese Pound Cake II

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2007
This was incredible! One of the best recipes I have come across from the site. I added a little fresh lemon juice to the glaze but other than that kept everything else true to the original!

Fish Tacos with Honey-Cumin Cilantro Slaw and Chipotle Mayo

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2009
BEWARE this is not a fish taco recipe! It is a recipe that will make even your kids LOVE fish. This is delightful! My kids won't eat the tacos because of the spicyness but I made them just the fish and they tore it up! I adored the chipotle slaw. Not a mouthful was left. I was worried that after 4 hours of the fish being in lime juice it would be over cooked since acid cooks fish on its own. But it stayed light and delicate and the honey lime sauce was just the cherry on top to this recipe! This went in my recipe box and I will make it again and again!

Baked Lemon Chicken with Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2010
My family and husband didn't care for it. I thought it needed more seasoning and could be a 3 or 4 star. The lemon flavor came through but that was the only evident flavor. I will try maybe again using some of the many recommended variations.

Well if you are from the south and are used to the real country style, down home, GREAT peach cobble - HERE is the recipe. Stop looking! I have attended many competitions for pies, desserts and pastries and this is certainly competitive quality. I am really appreciative that you have published this. Old-Fashioned Wilted Lettuce

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
I was looking for a wilted lettuce recipe that my Grandmother always made when I was growing up and I loved. I saw many available on this and other sites but they all called for white sugar and I knew that my grandmothers didn't contain sugar. Then I came across this one and although my Grandmother didn't add the eggs This is the recipe!! AND what is odd is my Grandmother was born and raised in Indiana. Born in a small town called Wabash and retired to the "Big City" (Ft. Wayne. So maybe this is the Indiana version. In any case it's delicious and just as I remembered and now thanks to this recipe I can share it with my family and introduce my Florida friends to it!!! Thank you so much for publishing this version. It's the best.

Asian Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
I agree with others that said this was a gloppy mess. I apparently made the same mistakes because the flour on the chicken only served to make the sauce like Jello. It was way too thick and lumpy. The sugar is way too much, the corn starch and/or flour is way too much and I wasn't even a fan of the amount of garlic. I followed the recipe exactly and thought I followed the direction exactly. So I'm not sure what went wrong. I won't be trying this again.

Hunts® Chicken with Mediterranean Vegetables

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2012
I read the previous reviewers comments and decided to give the recipe a little "jooj" before I started it and it turned out 5 star. I seasoned the chicken with Herbs De Provence. This is a common spice blend that is available in any market and is just basically Italian seasoning with dried parsley and lavender added. If you don't have it, Italian seasoning and parsley or just Italian Seasoning is fine. I did not use the garlic salt but salted and peppered the chicken and added fresh garlic to the squash instead. I browned the chicken as the recipe stated but when I put in the vegetables I added 1 Tsp of fresh minced garlic, a dash of red pepper flakes and also LIGHTLY seasoned them with the same seasoning as the chicken. I also substituted the Hunt's tomatoes with the Hunt's fire roasted diced tomatoes because I seasoned the chicken before hand so I didn't want the tomatoes over seasoned. I also think the fire roasted are more flavorful with a fresher, sweeter, taste. I also sprinkled a little Parmesan cheese on the top after plating and as I said, I think it was a 5 star dish! Thank you so much for the easy to vary recipe. These are the kind of recipes I like to see on Allrecipes. Simple to prepare, Quick to cook and easy to personalize to my preferences. There is no right or wrong way!
