Mall Pretzels

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2009
These are unbelieveably yummy! I ate 3 big pretzels in a row because I just couldn't stop! A few minor ajustments I made the second time I made these: Wait till you have rolled all your "ropes" before you prepare your pan of warm water with baking soda, otherwise the water will be cold before you get to dipping. Also, by far they taste the best freshly baked, so what worked best for me was only baking the quantity that would be eaten right away and refrigerated the remainder of the dough until I baked more the next day. Lastly, I buttered and salted BEFORE baking. This helped make them more golden and the salt to stick better. Coarse salt is a must!

Fluffy Biscuits

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2009
These are awesome and ridiculously easy to make! I had never made biscuits in my life and my Southern husband loved them! I used margarine instead of shortening (since I didn't have any) and used the top of a round, narrow drinking glass to cut the biscuit shapes since I don't own a biscuit cutter. I'll definitely be making them again soon!

Cinnamon Bun Icing

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2009
Super yummy and super easy to make! I cut the receipe in half and that was plenty for a batch of cinnamon buns with plenty left over. I used an hand-held electric mixer and it was done in 60 seconds!

Turkey in a Bag

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
This was my first time cooking a turkey and it turned out perfectly! Juicy and nicely browned. I cooked a 7kg turkey for 4 hours. My family was very impressed! Super easy with great results!
