Yummy is all I have to say- this is a keeper! Didn't add onion.

Winter Fruit Salad with Lemon Poppyseed Dressing

Reviewed: May 12, 2013
Delicious! We did add bleu cheese instead of swiss. The fresh lemon is a must because it gives it a nice, refreshing kick!

Spicy Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Reviewed: May 12, 2013
Awesome! Though, taco seasoning is nasty, so we did cinnamon and that's a 5 start!

Twice Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: May 7, 2013
Omitted onion & chives. (Didn't have chives on hand). I added onion powder and red peppers. The bread crumbs aren't necessary and make sure to use bacon- not bacon bits!! I did cook at 450 for 45min-1 hr.

Pasta With Peanut Sauce

Reviewed: May 5, 2013
Very yummy! I doubled the red pepper & peanut butter; quadrupled the bean sprouts; added shrimp and a little more ginger for a nice fresh added flavor. The broth does make it a little saltier than I like, but overall a great meal

Finnish Pulla

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2013
Very good! I did decrease the butter to 1/3 c and the sugar to 3/4 c. This was more than enough. It does make a lot of bread, so be prepared!

Colcannon

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2013
I didn't add all the leeks or milk because it seemed too much. Even with the milk I did add, it made the potatoes a little mushy. But was better after the first day. It was good, but I am not sure it was worth all that extra time "jazzing" up mashed potatoes! Oh, and cook leeks first, then cook the potatoes & cabbage at the same time.

Pistachio Fluff Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2013
Great! I used 8 oz whipped cream and omitted the marshmallows. It was plenty sweet and I am not a marshmallow fan!

7-Up® Biscuits

Half the soda- 1 c. is over doing it. Also, the second time I made them I added Greek Yogurt in lieu of sour cream and they turned out funny. Not sure if it's the yogurt or something else!

Eggplant Parmesan with Fresh Basil and Smoked Mozzarella

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2013
Very good! The skin is rather tough, but the flavor was great. My kids aren't too picky, but this was definitely not a remake for them.

Potato, Broccoli and Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2012
Flavor was good, but the texture was something to be desired. (Thanks to the starchy potatoes!) I cooked the broccoli with potatoes and added celery. I also added a little milk and cornstarch to thicken it up. It looked kind of like vomit too, so good thing the flavor was there!

Mushroom and Swiss Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2012
This was pretty bland. I baked it with some cream of mushroom soup to had flavor and a little creaminess, but it just ended up a watery mess. Definitely needs something, but not sure what! Love mushrooms & swiss though!

Pretzel Dogs

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2012
The dough was a little bland, but fine. I added sesame seeds on dog and made them "mummy turkey dogs". Note: Do NOT make this with gluten free flour! I tried 1 batch with the gluten free and it was a mess and disgusting!

Jamie's Minestrone

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2012
Delicious! I used the base in the recipe, but I also halved it with a canned stock base I had that consisted of tomatoes, carrots, onions & cabbage. I did omit the zucchini and spinach just cause' I didn't have it on hand!

Dianne's Pumpkin Cookie Cups

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2012
It was all right, but there are definitely better pumpkin desserts out there. A little heavy and too much spice for my taste. I think I will try tweaking the filling next time- though my 6 year old couldn't get enough of the filling! Maybe adding the pumpkin and spices into the cookie and just a basic cream cheese filling would be yummy!

Butternut Squash Soup

Awesome! I roasted the Butternut for 1 hr. at 425. I also halved the butter, added 1/2-1 c. more water, omitted Cayenne & Marjoram (didn't have) and only did 1 pgk. cream cheese. Super flavorful and creamy!

Very good roast! Love the clove & applesauce flavor! I cooked it in a crock pot all day on low, omitted the rub and topped with more applesauce.

Apple Crisp II

It was pretty tasty with some vanilla ice cream. It does have a lot of butter and sugar so you might want to cut back a little on that. I had about 6 kids fighting over who got to have seconds though!
