This was a huge hit at a recent birthday party and I was told it was hands down the best dessert they've ever had! I made several modifications, though. Like others, I made my own glaze and used the easy recipe posted by others. For the cake batter, I mixed the dry batter of yellow cake with the dry batter for banana nut muffins. Instead of the liquid ingredients on the box , I used 1 cup water, 1/3 cup oil, 1 small can of crushed pineapple (saved the juice to thin the glaze if needed), and 2/3 cup buttermilk instead of the eggs. The cake turned out amazingly moist and added a great flavor to the rest of the dessert!
