Breakfast Sausage

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2012
I love sausage, but i hate paying almost 4 bucks for 1 16oz roll...i had been looking at this recipe for sometime now because of all the great reviews. The only thing that kept me from making it is that i could never find majoram in the stores!!! I finally came across it at a store i don't shop at very often. Even after buying it, it still sat on the shelf with all my other spices for a few weeks! Well this morning i really was in the mood for sausage and i didn't have any of the store bought kind so i decided to give this recipe a try AND BOY AM I GLAD I DID! I loved this sausage, the perfect amount of spices, SO GOOD! I did not add the brown sugar at all because i don't like sweet sausage...the only thing that i can say that i hated was that i didn't try this recipe sooner! I will never pay for breakfast sausage again! Talking about it makes me want to go make more!!! Lol thank you so much for this recipe, there is no need to go look for any other...THIS IS MY FIRST TIME EVER MAKING IT AND I WILL CONTINUE TO USE THIS RECIPE AGAIN AND AGAIN! THANKS AGAIN!

Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2011
This recipe was okay, i think the butter to peanut butter ratio was wrong. If i made this again it would be 1/2 cup of butter to 1 1/2 cups of peanut butter. The taste of the butter was overwhelming and i used Skippy brand peanut butter!!! Other then that, it was smooth and creamy...perfect 'spreadability' and sweetness!

Chocolate Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2011
This would be a 5 star recipe if it WAS NOT so sweet! I am a huge fan of chocolate and sweets, i rarely say anything is too sweet but this recipe definitely needs to cut out AT LEAST 1/2 cup of sugar!!! ESPECIALLY IF YOU PLAN TO EAT IT WITH COOL WHIP OR ICE CREAM!!! Other then that...the taste was divine!

Cheeseburger Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2010
In the past i used The 'Rempel Family Meatloaf' Recipe off this site and it is a very good recipe, but i wanted to try something a little different. When this recipe was sent in a daily email i receive from allrecipes.com, i decided to try it because i love cheese and it had great reviews. Boy am i happy i gave this recipe a chance...i did not change a thing and baked it for the specified time and this turned out to be soooo good with homemade mashed potatoes and green beans as sides...this will definitely replace all meatloaf recipes from the past and be made at least twice a month!!! Go ahead and try it, you won't be disappointed!!! I will add that i have NEVER really liked meatloaf but my family does so that alone should tell you A LOT!!!

Chocolate Surprise Cupcakes

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
This recipe was delicious, but a bit too "wet" for my taste. I really enjoy super moist cakes but i don't think i will add the cream cheese filling anymore unless i fold it into the cake mix itself, then i am afraid it wouldn't bake properly. With slight modifications this could be a 5 star recipe.

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2010
Okay, i really didn't know what to expect with this recipe because i have never had a iced coffee but the recipe ingredients peaked my interest so i decided to take a chance and try it!!! I LOVE THIS SHAKE!! I made the recipe exactly as written, but i topped it off with a squirt of whipped cream...delicious!!! I will definitely be adding this recipe to my regulars and making it often...thank you so much EUC!!!

Grilled Sausage with Potatoes and Green Beans

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2010
this is a great recipe that i made easier..instead of fresh green beans & potatoes, i used one can of drained green beans and one can of whole potatoes cut in half and seasoned with about 1 tablespoon of prepared dressing from a box of "suddenly" pasta salad and the rest of the ingredients. Wrapped tightly in aluminum foil and placed on grill 25-30 minutes, turning once half way through cooking time. Delicious served with the pasta salad and kabobs or other grilled meats!!

Easy Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2010
Awesome!!! for less fat and still moist and delicious cake, reducing oil to a half cup and increase oven to 350 degrees and bake for 50 minutes!!! I make this cake often and with so many variations that others have suggested. i use vanilla,(and add 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa if out of chocolate pudding) lemon, chocolate or cheesecake flavored pudding mix...delicious!!!

Easy Turkey Gravy

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2010
I absolutely love this recipe and make it often with the exception of reducing the poultry seasoning by half and adding a 1/2 cup more of milk or water, whichever you prefer to use is fine. If you are looking for a more creamier gravy, use milk and for a thinner, watery gravy use water. Add hot mashed potatoes and toast with sliced turkey breasts or chunks and you have a quick and easy meal that the whole family will enjoy!!!

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2010
This crust is definitely a 4 1/2 stars as written, but with the suggestions of adding 1 tsp of basil, 1 tsp garlic powder, reducing the flour to 2 1/2 cups, plus i myself, adding a bit of parmesan and romano cheese and cooking the crust at least 5 minutes before adding any toppings, this is easily a 5 star recipe!! My only complaint is that i did not get my crust crispy, crunchy enough for my own personal taste...but this is my first time making it and i am quite sure with a few more attempts i will have mastered that as well...try this recipe and i am sure you will agree!!

Creamy Kielbasa and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2010
This was a very good recipe as written, but with a few adjustments, this was a five star recipe!! I, like most suggested, doubled the potatoes, used the whole pound of kielbasa, substituted the water with milk and added shredded cheddar cheese. I also left out the celery, substituted the creamed chicken soup for creamed celery soup, added a dash of garlic, a bouillon cube and a bay leaf, grated a large carrot and shredded about four cups of cabbage, added to the pot, cooked the suggested time, then added a splash of hot sauce to bowl, this was delicious!!! next time i will try the whole kernel corn and maybe a 1/2 cup of rice...very good and plenty of flavor!!

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2010
This is definitely a keeper, as suggested, i used townhouse flipsides cheddar flavored pretzel crackers as it was the only cheese crackers that i had in my pantry, sifted the dry onion soup mix and added about 1/4 cup of milk 1/8 tsp of pepper and 1 to 2 Tablespoons of yellow onion. SUPERB!! Like a lot of people, i DO NOT really care for meatloaf, but my daughter loves it, so i made this for her, but i think i ate more then she did. Smothered in gravy with a baked potato and broccoli/cauliflower and cheese, you can't go wrong with this recipe!!!

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: May 26, 2009
I, like others added sauteed onoins and shredded carrots. I didn't have any celery or i would have added some too. This is definitely a great Base recipe for chicken and rice soup, but again, i, like others felt something was missing even after i added 2 boullion cubes!! The soup has a great taste and texture, and although when milk and half & half was substituted for the heavy cream it still was thick enough. Ultimately, this recipe is definitely a keeper with minor modifications. I think next time i make this is will add a dash of poultry seasoning to the chicken when i cook it. Something is definitely missing from this recipe that i can't quite put my finger on.

Buttermilk Syrup

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2009
I must admit that this syrup is very, very delicious, but it definitley cannot be good for anyone because it is sooooo rich!! For that reason, i give it 4 stars, if there is a lighter version to this, it would be a 5 star recipe.

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2008
I had high expectations of this recipe as I am pretty good at judging how a recipe will turn out just from the listed ingredients, but unfortunately this recipe turned out to be a mess & caused me to ruin 4 pounds of exspensive roast!! I believe myself to be a very good cook and I can usually "correct" any mistakes in most recipes...but this one, well there was really no help for it as it had no flavor, the juices were way too watery & by the time the meat was done it had fallen all apart. Had this been cooked on a regular conventional stove and a little more seasoning it may have been alot better as it would have given the juices a better chance at thickening up & flavor time to cook into te meat. In my opinion, forget about this recipe all together & try the "awesome roast beef" recipe on this site... definitey 5 stars!
