Walnut Sandwich Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
I was so happy to find this recipe during my search for black walnut sandwich cookies I made only once years ago, then couldn't find it again. I used this recipe just as written only using black walnuts, oh man are they tasty! Thank you so much!

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
I make this recipe in the slow cooker, cooking on low for about 2 hours, perfect to keep warm for work/potlucks! I agree with the review suggesting maple bacon, this change alone could add a 6th star. My 4 kids request this at EVERY game/party/potluck.

Easy Spinach Lasagna with White Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2009
Believe it or not, you can make this in a slow cooker too. I made the following changes: Used oven-ready noodles, italian sausage, used prepared dry packaged sauce like Erika, adding about an extra package to allow for absorption, adding minced garlic and sauted onion to the sauce. I also added about 1 Tbsp. Italian seasoning to the cheese mixture, ommitted carrots, and layered lots of mazzarella between layers and on top. Awesome for a work potluck: assemble, refrigerate overnight, and take to a potluck at work cooking it all morning.

Special K Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
This is the recipe I have been searching for to use for christmas wreaths cookies. Add green paste coloring to the mixture before adding cereal. Drop by large spoonfuls on buttered waxed paper, then shape into a wreath using 2 forks and top with red hot candies. They are my family's favorite and easiest christmas cookies. Thank you so much for posting this recipe!

Ricardo's Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2014
This is my go-to pizza crust! I make 2 batches (2 large pizzas) for our family of 6. I usually premake in the morning or day before and "par-bake" the crusts in a 375 degree oven for about 7-8 minutes, then they're ready to to top and bake at dinner time. (I added just a couple Tbsp. more flour to the bread machine while mixing, that is the only change). Awesome pizza crust!

Butter-Dipped Biscuit Squares

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2009
Very surprisingly good!! I substituted honey for the sugar, and they had a wonderful flavor. The butter gives them a nice crispy edge. Thanks for the great recipe!
