Groovy Green Smoothie

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2014
This was very good, not at all what I was expecting for my first spinach smoothie. Both my boys loved it. I didn't take the time to add the apple since I had blueberries on hand and washed, just threw a handful of them in. I will be adding this to our smoothie rotation. Thanks!

Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2014
These were much easier than I was thinking after reading some reviews. I used this recipe for cookies boxes we passed out and they were delicious. I substituted 1/2 the vanilla for peppermint based on some reviews and it was perfect.

Fried Chicken with Creamy Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2013
Very good. I didn't have poultry seasoning or paprika so I added a little salt, onion powder, and a few shakes of cayenne. I will be fixing this again.

Grandma Bellows' Lemony Shrimp Macaroni Salad with Herbs

This was wonderful. I used a bag of frozen salad shrimp and 4 eggs instead of 3. The kids even liked it,

Tender Pork Spare Ribs

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2011
I want to try my chicken rub next time. I used Pepsi since that's what I had on hand instead of beer. It was very tender and moist and enjoyed by the whole family.

Tortellini Bacon Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2010
Excellent! I made exactly as the recipe said and used marzetti's original slaw dressing. The kids aren't fond of broccoli but I used a hand chopper and cut it pretty small. Will definitely make again. Thanks

Jen's Heavenly Egg Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2009
Great tasting and simple. We have 10 chickens so we get a lot of eggs and this is an easy way to use them up. I was short on time so I just sprinkled in about 1/4 tsp. dried onion, didn't have any dijon so I added 1/4 tsp. dried mustard and used lemon juice just to taste. All three children ages 2-6 loved it.

After-Thanksgiving Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2008
Fabulous soup! I was looking for a way to make the most of my turkey and found it. I did make some changes to suit us. I only used 1 1/2 onions, about 5 Tbsp. butter, 1/2 c. flour, 2/3 c. rice, added 2 cloves of garlic and about 1/4 tsp. basil. Turned out very well. I only cooked the rice mixture about 20 minutes and that was plenty. I also added the half and half at the end. We were all very pleased with it. I will try the peas next time.

Cheesy Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: May 6, 2008
This recipe was great. My hubby doesn't like spinach and he was very impressed. The kids also liked it. I added more ricotta cheese, a whole jar of spaghetti sauce, and only used half the shells. Definitely a keeper. Thanks.
