Spooky Witches' Fingers

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2011
These were fantastic! I made them for my sons costume/halloween b-day and I have to say they taste good even when they are overbaked (they look creepier too, although it was NOT my intention!) I was sooo busy in the kitchen making tons of food that I forgot I had them in the oven!! I was SO bummed out after the time spent making them, but was so happy after I tasted them. I expected them to become really hard because they looked brown and overbaked. Fortunately that was not the case, they looked better & still tasted great! They were ALL GONE in no time ;o) Will definitely make again, thanks for the recipe!!!

Mashed Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2009
Not the best I've had or nearly close. Followed the exact recipe but I didnt like the flavor. I made it for a get together and almost the entire thing was left over. Sorry, I just would not make this again.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
This was so delicous! The only problem was that I think I overmixed it because it got all sticky like dough (not sure if it was supposed to do that, I doubt it), but it still came out really really delicous. I made it for Thanksgiving and it was all gone. I only wished I had doubled the recipe!

Beefy Lentil Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2008
Delicious. My husband absolutely loved it and couldnt stop raving about it. Next time I will add more mushrooms cause he loves those. I think I added a bit more lentils than the recipe asked for, but this was a VERY good soup.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
Delicious and easy to make. If you want them to be ready faster (10-15 minutes)and funner if you have kids, make muffins instead! I make these all the time and my kids love them. I do add some cinnamon and vanilla but other than that I follow the recipe.

Crispy Herb Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
I followed this recipe to the T and was a bit dissapointed. I think the chicken lacked flavor, however I did like the idea of using potatoe flakes for the crust, but I think it really needed something else. Dont think I would make it again.

Sour Cream and Chive Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
I thought these mashed potatoes were kind of bland, as did my husband. They were lacking flavor, but the chives gave it some color and made them look pretty. They were ok, not sure I'd make them again.

Garlic Bread Fantastique

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
Very good garlic bread and easy to make! The remainder I just refriderated so I can make some more in the week. My husband loved this bread, definitely a keeper! I was worried the garlic would be overpowering but it was perfect. Thanks for sharing!

Pat's Baked Beans

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! These are the best baked beans I've ever had, my husband loved them too. I froze half and kept the rest for leftovers. I replaced the garbanzo with another can of baked beans, but followed the recipe to the T. I was a little hesitant with the mustard and was close to replacing the ketchup with BBQ sauce, but instead I followed the recipe and it was PERFECT! I also made a few other recipes from here to go along with the beans (mashed potatoes, chicken)the potatoes were kind of bland but just poured some of the beans sauce and it was perfect. GOOOOOOODDDD BEEEAAANNSSS!

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
I have to say I was a bit dissapointed with this recipe. There were soooo many EXCELLENT reviews about it I was expecting more than what I got. I followed this recipe to the T, except I added only 1/2 the water like many other people suggested. It still seemed too watery and mushy. The title is deceiving! lol... I guess I was really expecting something crispy- far from that. But it was good, I just would not make it again.

The Best Banana Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2007
I was worried about how this was going to turn out because I'm not the very best cook! I was shocked with the results because I actually made something that tasted very delicious!!! I used 1/2 cup of white sugar and 1/2 cup of brown sugar. I also sprinkled walnuts on the top. The picture does not do it justice this is an amazing bread! I've made it 3 times this month- it's THAT good! It was the biggest hit at a potluck party and it was all gone. This recipe deserves 10 stars!!! Try it and you too will fall in love with it!
