Japanese Ginger Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
This was okay. I didn't hate it, but I expected it to be much more gingery - the oil seemed to thin it out too much for my taste.

Delicious Black Bean Burritos

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2008
This was okay, but not anything special. My husband and I get these Goya Rice&Bean boxes that I think work better and are less work then this recipe.

A Fragrant, Spicy Rice

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2008
I changed a lot of the veggie ingredient in this recipe because I didn't have them all on hand. Overall the flavor of the rice was great. This is the first time I have used my garam marsala and it was a fragment, tasty spice blend!

Tzatziki Sauce (Yogurt and Cucumber Dip)

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2008
This was AWESOME. I could have eaten it all by itself. I also like how the strained yogurt changes consistency. Really cool.

Breaded, Fried, Softly Spiced Tofu

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2008
This was a really great recipe! I was trying to find a way to make tofu crispy and it worked. The only thing I would have changed is to have a zestier breading.

Fava Bean Breakfast Spread

Reviewed: May 1, 2008
I really didn't like this. I was expecting more of a hummus consistency with fava beans and it ended up being more like a stew.

Indian Carrots, Peas and Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2008
I thought this was a little bland, but my husband loved it! He added hot sauce to it as well, so that may have influenced his taste.

Aloo Phujia

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
I liked this dish, but my husband absolutely loved it! I added a little spinach, but my hub and I agreed that it detracted from the consistency. I will make this again!

Miss Betty's Super Quick Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2008
These rolls were fast and easy. I felt like they were a little lackluster alone, but a good base recipe.

Sean's Falafel and Cucumber Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2008
Delicious! All of my past experiences with falafel were that it was really dry. Fresh out of the fryer (although not very healthy) was terrifically yummy. We had ours in pitas with the sauce, tomatoes and fresh parsley. (The sauce really ties it together.) Originally mine fell apart during frying, but separating them in half (making 16 instead of 8) kept most of them together.

Spinach Chickpea Curry

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
This is one of the first dishes I have ever made and it was fantastic. I was looking for something that inspired me so I could get away from making sandwiches and pasta all the time. The composition of the sauce was perfect and delicious - tasted just like the curry at the Indian restaurants I go to. My husband said he would have used 3/4 of the can of creamed corn, but I didn't notice that the flavor was overwhelming.

Delicious recipe! We cooked ours on a little outdoor grill and it worked really well.

Hummus III

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
This recipe has way too much tahini and comes out thick and bland. I read the reviews about the recipe that call for less tahini and I agree. However, the recipe as written was not palatable to me.
