Peanut Butter Balls III

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2011
I followed the recommendations given by most of the reviews. 18oz container of Jif Crunchy Peanut Butter, and half of the confectioner's sugar, also I did half milk choc and half semi-sweet. Chilled before rolling and then froze for 2-3 min after adding chocolate. They turned out excellent, added a little red and green sugar to the top to make them festive. Tried this with cream cheese frosting as suggested by one reviewer and it was terrible, skip that alternative!

Baby Blue Punch

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
Made this for a baby shower today and it was fabulous EXACTLY as directed. I used a packet of blue Kool-Aid (blue raspberry-lemonade) and otherwise followed the directions. The sugar is needed- its WAY too tart without it. I had to make two punchbowls full- everyone loved it!

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2010
AWESOME! Made with Bacon like others suggest and came out perfectly, served in bread bowls, as near to perfection as I will ever accomplish I think :)

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
Fantastic recipe! Sliced the chicken and sauteed with olive oil for 2-3 minutes before cooking in the oven. Exchanged a can of chicken broth for the wine, sauteed mushrooms and garlic with the chicken. Boiled frozen broccoli a few minutes before finishing in the oven, poured broccoli over the pasta and the chicken and sauce over the top- was FANTASTIC!

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
Though I, like others it seems, had my doubts, eye of round was on sale and so I figured it would only be a small monetary loss if for some reason it didn't quite turn out- boy was I impressed! I cooked the roast exactly as directed- seasoned with rosemary, thyme, cayenne pepper, garlic and oregano, shoved it in the oven, set the timers and out came this incredible roast, cooked just right on the outside and to a beautiful pink in the middle. Quite impressive, served with garlic mashed potatoes, it has become a household favorite!

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
By far our favorite stroganoff recipe. We love mushrooms and garlic so I added lots in at the beginning with the meat. We didn't love the wine taste, so I omit the wine completely and add 2 oz of cubed fat-free cream cheese right at the end with the sour cream. Makes for a fantastic meal- we never have leftovers!

Flatlander Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
After many attempts at making homemade chili- this is by far the best. I decrease the amount of tomato juice to only 16 ounces, use one can tomato sauce and two cans of diced tomatoes, other than that, follow the recipe exactly- I leave it in the slow cooker all day making all the tastes run together very nicely. Served with cheese and sour cream in bread bowls- mmmm mmmm good!

Four Cheese Macaroni

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
Fantastic recipe- has become a staple in our home. I only use 4 Tablespoons of butter, omit the eggs and increase the amount of cheese. I leave the 1/2 and 1/2 the same, but I heat it with the velveeta cubes to create a nice thick sauce. It comes out great every time!
