World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2014
My Son Loved It! He now lives in MInneapolis and craving some good homemade lasagna. I followed the suggestions of warming the lasagna noodles in hot water for thirty mins as well as using fresh basil over dried. Also, the fennel is the key to the sauce so give it a try. As with all sauces, taste...we prefer a bit more garlic ...other then that...my son ate it every night when he got home from work. He even asked for the recipe! It felt so good to see his face after the first bite and the huge smile he gave me after. Highly recommend! Thank you John for posting!

I doubled the recipe and had to use Pinot Noir. I was apprehensive on the substitution but it was delicious. This is absolutely the best sausage and peppers I've ever made.

Garlic Crab Legs

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2008
I will never eat crab any other way again...had I had corn on the cob I would have followed the recipe. I believe the garlic and spices will add a wonderful flavor to the corn. Superb - none will be dissappointed. Oh yeah - it's worth the mess!

Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
I'm rating this 5* because I followed the advise of doubling the garlic, adding cream cheese. I made a 5lb bag potatoes and used a head of garlic - for the other beginners...cut off the top (the thinnest point) to expose all the garlic cloves then pour on the olive oil and bake for approx 20 min. If you don't have a garlic roaster - use foil. I found this hint useful. These were the best garlic mashed potatoes we ever had!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
This is a superb recipe and I too followed the advise of others by sprinking Old Bay (seam side up first-thanks) and the 1/2 cup of bread crumbs. I almost burnt this after I added the parmesan topping so for other beginners - don't move away from the oven until you take it out...it's a quick 2min..LOL!

Four Cheese Macaroni

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
I made this Christmas Day - to my family's amazement-everything I made was superb. My son-in-law ate this and normally doesn't care for Mac and Cheese - doubled the recipe and still none leftover. I followed the suggestions of previous reviewers and omitted the eggs, melted all the cheeses in a sauce pan and then mixed with the pasta. Your family is in for the BEST mac and cheese they ever had with this recipe.
