Cheesy Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2012
This is a very good recipe. I slightly seasoned the chicken with garlic and made it in the crock pot. I just threw all the ingredients in, and set it on high for 4 hours. I served the chicken over egg noodles.

Golden Brown Ravioli with Sauce

Reviewed: May 24, 2011
These were awesome. I fried them in my frying pan, that I filled half way with oil. (it was not 3 inches) but they cooked just fine, just dont hesitate to flip them. my first few were over cooked because I wasnt sure when to flip them.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: May 24, 2011
I got rave reviews on this from my church. I am not a fan of these cookies, but everyone else I have me has asked me to make them again. I reccomend making sure your oven temp is correct, and taking them out when they are "almost done"

I really enjoy this recipe. I have made it 4 times so far. The first time I followed it exact, and the last 3 times, I added a bit less ketchup..

Easy Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: May 24, 2011
This is an alright recipe. My family enjoyed it, although I found it to be a bit bland. I did add some frozen peas and carrots to the dish before sticking it in the oven. I will probably not make it again, unless my husband asks me to,

Peanut Butter Quesadillas

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2010
I have made this a few times for my girls. They enjoy it alot. I use this recipe as a guideline, I have used many different jellys and even spread apple butter on top of the peanut butter. If you put the jelly inside the tortilla be careful because it will be hotter than the peanutbutter, and will burn your mouth, so just wait a few minutes. (my girls do not like dipping their quesadilla in the jelly, so we learned the hard way.

Pillow-Soft Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
This is my husband favorate bread recipe I make. I sometimes have to use a bit extra flour to make the dough more manageable, but it does not change the taste or texture.

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
I used double chocolate oreo cookies, and 1.5 TBS sugar for the crust, and then made exactly as directed. I loved it, and have no complaints however many of my family members have commented that it is a bit too sweet for them.

Pretty Peach Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
I made this off a whim, mainly because I had most of the ingredients. I had to make a few changes. I used frozen peaches, and peach yogurt. I also used the liquid from canned peaches, and left out the sugar and almond extract. I hope to make this again soon, exactly as stated, once I find peach nector in the store.

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
I made this bread exactly as stated, and I got rave reviews. It was not overly sweet or too plain tasting. I do reccomend checking on it after 40 minutes, because many people have stated that it does not take the whole 60 minutes to cook. Mine, personally took 50 minutes.

I am giving this recipe 5 stars, but only if you use all butter, and no shortening... Other than that this recipe is one of the best I have ever made.

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
I have made this twice. the first time, I made it without making any changes. The 2nd time I used diced, not shredded hash browns, and mixed it with 1 can of cream of potato shop, and 1 can of cheddar cheese shop. I also mixed in 3/4 of the cheddar cheese, and put the rest of the cheese on top about 10 mins before it was done. I like it both times, my husband likes the 2nd one best, but he is a major cheese lover.

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2010
I am giving this bread 5 stars. I have a few pointers though. First, make sure you let the yeast proof, at least 10 mins, but I wait 15. ) and Next,if you have to knead the dough by hand, make sure you kneed the dough until completely smooth. (yes your arms will get tired, but I find that the less you kneed the dough, the more air pockets you have when its done. ) And I personally hate air pockets inside my bread.

Blueberry Crumb Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2010
This is one of my favorite summer desserts. I have made it with just blueberries, and also with a mixture of berries. My favorite is to add mainly blueberries, and a but (like 1/3) raspberries. I used half white sugar, and half brown sugar. and butter (real butter) instead of shortening. and to avoid mushing the crust, I threw it in my food processor (just don't over mix it.) It had to be crumby!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2010
I have made this recipe several times, and I the only thing I have changed is that I grind some walnuts into a powder, or very small pieces. I am one who prefers nuts in my cookies, but I do not like big chucks of nuts. I do not sift the flour, as I find, that makes the brownies more cake like. (in my opinion) Also yes, real butter is needed. (melted) Also I should add that I have never refrigerated the dough, and I have had no problem with it. These are GREAT cookies!
