About this Cook
Married with two children. Living in beautiful Northwest Arkansas.
My favorite things to cook
Chili, beef stew, meatballs, stroganoff, baked fish. Love to bake everything - especially carrot cake and cut out cookies. My new thing is trying new vegetarian dishes, and grass fed beef (yum!)
My cooking tragedies
Homemade bread. Apple Pie - I completely messed up the crust recipe. It looked good, but when you touched the crust, it collapsed, way too much flour. I scraped off the crust and spooned out the apples. The filling was terrific though :)

Southern Yank Pulled Pork BBQ
Wow, this was outstanding!! I made this nearly to a T, just added more garlic, and a little less water. This was my first time making pulled pork, and what a hit. I HIGHLY recommend making this. Cooked on low from 8am-5pm while I was at work, it took 3 minutes to shred and done! Totally making this again and again!!

Easy Swedish Pancakes
These were excellent... I used whole wheat flour for an even better flavor. And I put in the 1/2 cup of the flour, plus about 3 Tbsp more. The butter wasn't added to the batter, I put the butter in my stainless skillet (over medium heat) each time before new batter went in for another pancake. My friends from Sweden showed me how to make these a few weeks back, this recipe is pretty close to the real deal!

Grandma's Stuffed Celery
Very good. Brought to a work pig out and it got rave reviews. I added about a teaspoon of sugar, that's it.
