I'm mom/grandmom - love love love to cook - favorite time Sundays - a cookin' and a bakin' all day - homemade bread - soups &/or stews - fish - lots of stuff in the crockpot
My favorite things to cook
Unfortunately my favorite things are heavy, eastern European foods - lots of meat, pototoes, starches - I'm learning to cut back on the fat/carbs, but it's not easy after all these years - my favorite Food Channel gal is, of course, Paula Deen I do make a killer homemade chop suey
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas morning breakfast for the whole bunch - 4th of July BBQ's - Mac & cheese made with parmesan and mozzerella - what we call "good spaghetti" made with tomato soup (old family recipe)
My cooking triumphs
When my family was all home, I used to make Christmas for 30, pretty much all by myself - fabulous memories - fabulous food
My cooking tragedies
I've been fortunate - in 40+ years of cooking, no one has ever been sick - nothing has ever burned badly - no fires - I've never poisoned anyone :o)

Chicken Tetrazzini
The first time I made it, I made it with leftover ham - we demolished it - the second time (the following week) I made it with chicken - good but we all agreed the ham was better - this is so delicious - followed the recipe except I used angel hair pasta, and the kids especially, really gobbled it up - I'm always glad to find a new, easy recipe that everyone loves - this is it !

Candied Sweet Potatoes
My whole family LOVED this dish - I cut the butter by half, and it was simply delicious - very sweet, but we like it that way

Grandma Maggio's Spaghetti Sauce
DEEElish - we just loved it - didn't have Merlot so I used some Sangria - excellent ! - made it with some sweet Italian sausage and homemade meatballs - no leftovers - kids wanted me to make more tomorrow :o)
