Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

These are great. Really dense, chewy, fudgey brownies. So much better than boxed brownie mix, and it really wasn't that much harder to make. I didn't have semi-sweet chocolate chips so I used milk chocolate chips instead, and I added in a half-cup of walnuts. I halved the recipe and it fit fine in a 8x8 pan. I definitely need to grease the pan better next time though, because the edges of the brownies were really hard to get out. (my fault, not recipe's)

Whipped Cream Frosting

Very good recipe. Tastes amazing. I find it amazing that people give bad reviews when it's obvious that THEY did something wrong. Or when they completely change the recipe and then rate the recipe based on the changes they made.

Florentine Artichoke Dip

I followed this recipe exactly, and it was way too much like a spread instead of a thinner dip. I wanted something a bit more like the artichoke spinach dip at Applebee's. This was too thick, and basically just tasted like cream cheese with garlic. I'd cut back on the cream cheese next time.

Easy Never Forgotten Guacamole

Delicious! The sour cream and cream cheese made it extra creamy. I did add in some extra things--some diced onion, a bit of minced garlic, some diced tomato, cilantro. It was great!

Chocolate Snowdrops

I used 1/2 cup of butter instead of shortening, and these turned out all right. I cooked them for 9 minutes instead of 10, as another reviewer suggested. I used devil's food cake mix, but it just wasn't sweet enough for a cookie.

Mock Tuna Salad

I've been a vegetarian for a while and the only thing I really missed was tuna/chicken salad. This turned out GREAT! Took a while to mash up the chickpeas by hand (I only had a large silver spoon, whoops) but the relish, mustard and mayonnaise are excellent. Plus chickpeas are healthy for you and full of protein! :) Will definitely be making this again!
