Best Ever Cinnamon Buns

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2011
I have to start by saying, this is not a recipe for someone who has never worked with dough. It, like EVERY dough recipe requires your own discretion, talent and experience. With that said, these are really yummy. And note, these are not sticky buns, they are cinnamon buns. I added a sticky topping and they were scrumptious!! Soft, full and beautiful! But they only get 4 stars (I'd give 4.5) because the recipe is tough. I halfed the recipe (used 2 eggs) and easily filled a 9x13 plus another 8 x 8. Also, I did not measure my filling, I just put in as much butter and sugar as I wanted. I added a bit more flour than the recipe called for in the mixing part to make it a sticky but managable texture. Again, use your discretion but, I imagine that if you don't use enough flour, they could have a little cake taste. Mine did not. P.S. We hate Cinnabons and these weren't anything like them.

Joey's Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
There isn't a very strong peanut flavor but they are very tasty with a nice texture, soft inside and slightly crispy outside. I found the batter to be very wet when I followed the recipe so I added extra flour.

Chicken-Fried Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2008
This is a 5 star dish with my chages. In stead of cream of chicken soup, I used cream of mushroom and in instead of adding water I added about 1 1/2 cups of beef stock. I cooked it on high for 4 hours, removed the chops and added a bit of flour and water to thicken. When thickened I added the chops back in and served the gravy over potatoes! Delicious.

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2008
Although this was a very easy recipe, it doesn't have much flair. It really tastes like whichever BBQ sauce you use. So its tasty but not exciting. Maybe next time I'll use a homemade sauce as others have recommended.

Scrumptious Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2008
Very tasty and very easy. I made it with stove top stuffing and margarine, and first seasoned the chicken with garlic and onion powder and paprika. The reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is because I wasn't crazy about the crispy/crunchy topping although my husband loved it. Plus, I found the whole taste very rich, so next time I will use chicken stock and not margarine over the stuffing and I will not pre-season the chicken. But still a very good recipe.
