Leg of Lamb

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
This was the highlight of our Christmas dinner! The house filled with wonderful aromas of lamb, honey mustard and garlic. The meat was so moist and tender inside the crispy exterior. Terrific recipe, thanks for sharing it!

Italian Anisette Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
I have been making Italian anise cookies for 30 years, but haven't been happy with the recipe. I decided to try this one and it's very good, thus the reason for 4 stars. I did encounter a problem, and hopefully someone can help. I made two (separate) batches, followed the recipe to a "T", and with both recipes I got the same result--the dough did not want to stay together, in the bowl, and it was very difficult to keep them together as balls.

Three Cranberry Relish

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2012
I've made another of the cranberry relish recipes in this section, and it was ok, but this one is fantastic and so easy! As with any recipe, I like reading the reviews and make any necessary change--to this recipe I went with the full cup of sugar as suggested and it worked out perfectly. I actually made this relish for our company Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow, and made the mistake of sampling it--it has so much flavor it's hard to stop once you take that first taste. This will be on our table each and every Thanksgiving from now on!

Parmesan Spinach Balls

This was added to our Thanksgiving table this year, and I must say it is an excellent (and incredibly easy) recipe!

Peach Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2010
I made this recipe into breads, and it was okay. I actually doubled the recipe to make 4 breads, and because the peaches were so ripe, I cut back to oil to only 2 cups instead of 2-1/2. The breads cooked fine and were extremely moist. The only flaw in this recipe is that it wasn't overly flavorful. With peaches having a mild flavor addition to the recipe, I felt it needed a boost somewhere, possibly in the spice area. I should have followed some of the other reviewers and added to it. I will probably use this recipe again, but use the bread slices as a base for an ice cream dessert, or for a fruit shortcake.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2013
Every year we have a full Thanksgiving Dinner on my job (the week before). I made the dessert, deciding on cookies. Needing one more, I took a chance on this recipe. Absolutely perfect. I had an extra bag of craisins so I added them, and they really complimented an already perfect cookie. They were soooo moist! The spices make them taste more like gingerbread than a pumpkin cookie. Everyone loved them! They will now be a must on our holiday menu!

Quinoa Chard Pilaf

Reviewed: May 29, 2009
An absolutely perfect addition to my strict eating regimen! I opted for partially cooking raw lentils, otherwise following the recipe. Next time I make it, I will probably add more swiss chard, a great tasting ingredient in this recipe!

Quinoa Pudding

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2009
I tried quinoa for the first time with this recipe a few weeks back, and have made it several times since! I took the helpful advice of the previous reviewers, omitting the lemon juice and using soy milk in place of the apple juice, and it's definitely a winner!
