Country Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2014
Great use of leftover ham! Followed recipe exactly, except I omitted the onion. Tasted great but I wouldn't call them "scalloped potatoes".

Spicy Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2012
Great way to use up my over-ripe bananas! I used 2 bananas, increased the cinnamon to 1 tsp, and added a splash of vanilla. Next time I will substitute applesauce for the shortening to make them a little healthier.

Grilled Brown Sugar Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2011
The only thing I did differently was to let the pork chops marinate in apple juice over night. These turned out very sweet and delicious. I am not a big pork chop fan, but found myself taking seconds. Will be making again!

Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese II

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
Figured I would give this a try even though it had mixed reviews. I followed the recipe exactly. Maybe it was my fault because I used sharp cheddar, but I just didn't care for the taste or texture.

Pumpkin Waffles with Apple Cider Syrup

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2010
Syrup is awesome!! I was hoping for a stronger pumpkin taste in the waffles, but they were still good. My 5-year-old, who is super picky, loved the waffles!!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
It was good. After 55 minutes, the toothpicks came out clean, but I found out the bread was mushy in the middle when we were eating it. Next time I will cook a little longer and see if this helps. I used 2 cups of sugar instead of 2 1/4 cups and I used 1/2 cup oil and 1/2 cup applesauce.

Followed awesome in tummy's suggestions. Except that I didn't use any alcohol, instead I used 1/4 cup pure vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons banana extract. Turned out AWESOME!!

Easy Mexican Hot Chocolate

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2010
Good flavor but a little watery for my taste. Next time I will omit the water and just use milk for a creamier treat.

Chicken Wing Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2010
I have been making this chicken wing dip for years. The only thing I do differently is to shred the chicken rather than dice. Goes great with tortilla chips or Fritos scoops!

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: May 26, 2010
The dough was super sticky when I took it out of the bread machine. I added a decent amount of flour to make it workable. I followed another reviewers suggestion and put three balls inside a muffin pan. The buns turned out very good, not as sweet as I was expecting after reading the reviews.

Very good. Followed the recipe except I omitted the nuts. It actually made two loaves of bread. I will make this again.

Bread Machine Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2010
I did not have active dry yeast. I used 1 1/4 teaspoons of bread machine yeast. Other than that I followed the recipe. It turned out really good. It is not overly garlic-y. I will be making this bread again.
