Coconut-Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2011
LOVE! I needed a simple cream cheese frosting for a red velvet cake but they are all so thick. The heavy cream thins it out just enough to make it so smooth. I just left out all the coconut ingredients and it made for the best plain cream cheese frosting!!!

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
can't say enough about this peanut butter fudge! I've made it a million times and love it every time. I always have all the ingredients in the house which makes it a great thing to make if I only have a few minutes and need to bring something to a friend's house.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
rich creamy delish! I reserved some of the plain cheesecake mixture and spooned it on the top and swirled it with a toothpick to make it look extra pretty.

Sarah's Applesauce

My newest Thanksgiving staple. It's great because it can be served at dinner or dessert. YUM! It's now a tradition for my sister and I to make it together.

Chocolate Lovers' Favorite Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
Will never make any other type of chocolate cake! Why bother! It is only a couple additional steps from a boxed cake and outrageously worth it! There are no words!

Hungarian Flourless Hazelnut Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
Love this cake! I made it for a friend of the family that has gluten allergies and I ended up eating half of it! I would have never tried a gluten free cake because it sounds like no fun, but I'm so glad I tried this because it's now a part of my recipe book and I make it for people all the time, allergies or not!

Chocolate Cornstarch Pudding

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2010
I added a dash of cinnamon and 2 teaspoons of instant espresso once the milk mixture was hot (so that it would dissolve) It made the recipe that I already loved seem a little bit fancy. I learned from my favorite food network gal that cinnamon and coffee really bring out the flavor of chocolate, and I agree!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2010
I LOVED this recipe! I added small cubes of red potateoes that I boiled before I added to the filling, and I roasted my chicken, carrots, and celery instead of boiling them. I makes it so much more flavorful! I also added a pinch or two of sage and thyme which taste great with any chicken dish. Over all, a fantastic dish and great way to eat some veggies!

The Best Chicken Fried Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
LOVE LOVE LOVE! Let me just say that I am a southern girl married to a northern guy. He absolutely loves my southern cooking, but ironicly his favorite dish is chicken fried steak and that's the one thing that I could never get right. He orders chicken fried steak at every restaurant that has it on the menu (I wish I were joking) so you could say he is a qualifies critic. He had a hard week last week so I decided to give this dish another go. I used this recipe and he said hands down it was the best he's EVER had! Don't change a thing about this recipe!

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
ABSOLUTELY LOVED THESE!!! I worked at an extrememly popular Seattle bakery for a long time and had access to many muffins and goodies and these rank right up there with them! I added a little cinnamon to the batter, and they were so moist and yummy! I also experimented and added chocolate chps and pecans to one batch and did not add the crumble topping and it was an entirely different muffin with just a couple of ingredients. They were sooooo good! I isntantly saved them to my recipe box!
