Ode to the “What’s for Dinner” Buzz

The sun has risen, and I’ve got the coffee to brew,
And is my habit, I link up with the crew.

Lisa begins the “What’s for Dinner” post,
First up is Meatball Nirvana by Lovetohost.

Godzilla and Nurse Ellen love that dish,
While Lucky Noodles is planning on fish.

BramptonMommyof2 and Lilcat are grilling steak,
Grainfreegirl96 is baking a cake.

XRayBarb checks in before she’s off to bed,
Lindsay’s stromboli uses pizza dough instead.

More friends join in like Maridele and Patty D,
Also Huskergirl, Gebah and Linda T.

Enchiladas tempt TwoSweetPickles, Sherri too,
Salad for Alex and Elle, Mi$$Drea cooks stew.

My post is the same French bread as Baker Bee,
Aren’t Korilynne and Christina’s kids cute to see?

Tarab1 and Misty plan pork on the grill,
Luv2cook sautés veggies with dill.

Front page pics for Bellepepper and Lightedway,
Also photo congrats to Molly completing the day.

AlliGeekPi’s chicken was a little dry,
Buzzers recommended a new thermometer to try.

Pensacola has Cindy, but so do we,
Along with Soupy, Cam and Ellemae3.

Shorecook’s new recipes are among the best,
Carousel’s marinade awaits the AR test.

Linda2D, Sueb, and Crunchy adds to the group,
Soupisgoodfood33 tries a new soup.

Marianne and Amanda add to the fray,
With Mattsbelly and Bibi to make our day.

Tuna for Kellieann, tacos for Holly,
Chicken for Brenda, rolls for Molly.

Mickdee cancels grilling because of the rain,
Oh look, here’s Don all the way from Spain.

Semigourmet plans brats and bean,
“Newest Reviews” needs to be seen.

My Buzz addiction is sated, it’s sad I know,
And I learned a great tip for freezing dough.

So my lame rhyming abilities have reached their peak,
Oh dear God, they made me Cook of the Week.

So here’s to my friends that I never met,
Rolling your eyes I’m willing to bet.

Recipes, suggestions, and more helpful advice,
Encouragement and humor that’s all very nice.

Another great morning chat as we go our own way.
Thank you Buzzers, have a happy day!

Quite a collection of friends you have! I'm glad to be one of them. I just noticed where you live. I remember driving through your town on the way to my grandparents' place many years ago! Wow! That brings back some memories!

How fun Deb - very entertaining! Your little ditty was very cleaver and you included all. I too, am glad to be a part of your poem. It is the first post I look for EVERY morning. My husband wonders what I do before leaving for school in the morning. I tell him "the buzz" and he just laughs at me. :o)

About Me
I love finding great recipes which explains my addiction to Allrecipes. I was delighted to be chosen as an Allrecipes Allstar Brand Ambassador (a voluntary position), and meet talented home cooks from across the country and AR’s fabulous staff at their Seattle headquarters, and also again at Meredith Corporation, home of Allrecipes Magazine in NYC. I had a blast! My other passion is gardening and during the growing season you’ll find me in my garden with my Cape Cod weeder and a glass of wine.
My favorite things to cook
I love fresh baked bread, but who doesn't?
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family and friends would have a conniption if I didn't make the "Creme Brulee French Toast" on this website for Christmas brunch.
My cooking triumphs
I attended a fabulous week long Tuscan cooking class in Siena, Italy. The food was incredible, the people warm and wonderful, and the city is magical. Although we arrived in Italy after the race, we were fortunate to witness some of pageantry of the Palio di Siena which was extraordinary. It was tough to leave, and I lugged a heavy clay cooking pot through the airports coming home. When we got home, my husband delighted me by reproducing a pastry board we used in Tuscany which is one of my greatest toys. I enjoyed Tuscany so much; I named my cat Siena.
My cooking tragedies
The list is endless.
