I don’t know why people think you have to die to go to heaven.  You just need to hop on a plane and go to Maui.  This was my first AR Round-up experience and it was a fabulous time. It’s wonderful to finally meet friends who I have “talked” to on the Buzz but never had the opportunity to meet… MORE

This is my simple and easy attempt to recreate a bunny shaped bread that I saw at the Burlington Bread Company in Vermont.   It's a cute and edible decoration for the spring table.  I used half a recipe of Honey-Oat Pan Rolls: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/honey-oat-pan-rolls/detail.aspx for MORE

About Me
I love to bake and am always searching for that great recipe which explains my addiction to Allrecipes. I was delighted to be chosen as an Allrecipes Allstar Brand Ambassador (a voluntary position), and meet talented home cooks from across the country and AR’s fabulous staff at their Seattle headquarters. I had a blast! My other passion is gardening and during the growing season you’ll find me in my garden with my Cape Cod weeder and a glass of wine. --- Couldn't have said it better myself: "I have never believed we had to choose between either a clean and safe environment or a growing economy. Protecting the health and safety of all Americans doesn’t have to come at the expense of our economy’s bottom line. And creating thriving companies and new jobs doesn’t have to come at the expense of the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, or the natural landscape in which we live. We can, and indeed must, have both." ~ Bill Clinton
My favorite things to cook
I love fresh baked bread, but who doesn't?
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family and friends would have a conniption if I didn't make the "Creme Brulee French Toast" on this website for Christmas brunch.
My cooking triumphs
I attended a fabulous week long Tuscan cooking class in Siena, Italy. The food was incredible, the people warm and wonderful, and the city is magical. Although we arrived in Italy after the race, we were fortunate to witness some of pageantry of the Palio di Siena which was extraordinary. It was tough to leave, and I lugged a heavy clay cooking pot through the airports coming home. When we got home, my husband delighted me by reproducing a pastry board we used in Tuscany which is one of my greatest toys. I enjoyed Tuscany so much; I named my cat Siena.
My cooking tragedies
The list is endless.
