My Cinnamon Rolls
About this Cook
Mother of 3 wonderful grown children and grandmother of 3 fantastic grandsons soon to have an addition of a grand-daughter. Family is number one to me in everything I do. I love to cook and my family loves to eat it. I was born in Minnesota, lived in Ohio till 1970 and then moved to Washington State where I have resided for many years. My children are Army brats so we have traveled and lived in many places. The place I loved the most was Holland. Beautiful place and people. My youngest daughter was born in Belgium,my oldest daughter in Kentucky and my son in Tennessee. I'm very proud of my kids and what they have accomplished in their lives. My oldest daughter presently lives in Louisiana, my son in Colorado and my youngest daughter here in Washington state. I enjoy all crafts and cooking. I'm an artist of the pallet and of the kitchen. I love to travel and take a lot of pictures when I do. I love all Italian food since that is my heritage. Of course I do love other foods.
My favorite things to cook
All Italian foods and breads.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite family cooking tradition is homemade cavatils my Uncle Tony( full blooded Italian) would cook for us every summer we came to visit. Also I created a family tradition for Thanksgiving and Christmas called " The Turkey Dance". That tradition has been passed on to all my children and siblings. Its great knowing that even something as simple as the turkey dance can bring a smile and wonderful shared memories to all my family.
My cooking triumphs
I won first place in a chili cookoff at one of my old places I worked at. Its a recipe I have also passed on to family members and a simple recipe that is quick and easy.
My cooking tragedies
I don't think I've had a cooking tragedy yet, knock on wood. That doesn't mean I won't though. I've just been lucky so far.
