Roasted Garlic Flat Iron Steak

The flavor on this steak was outstanding. We topped it off with a few blue cheese crumbles, and it made our mouth do a happy dance. I did use far less olive than stated to make it into a paste. I would suggest you just slowly pour the olive oil into the food processor until a paste forms. I followed the directions as written and came up with more of whirled olive oil with garlic smashed in it and it was not a paste like consistency.

Homemade Chicken Broth

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

This was quick and easy! I used the Homemade Chicken Broth recipes from this site for the broth and cooked the noodles separate, a trick I learned from my mother. I added a couple of pinches of salt to top it off. Delicious!

Apple Crisp Cups

This was a great petite dessert! I used 3 golden delicious apples, and followed the directions as written. They were a hit at the coffee I served them at, and I was asked for recipe. Don't let others use of the word "time consuming" stop you from making these; they are worth the little bit of extra time it takes to make them.

Grandma VanDoren's White Bread

This is one delicious bread! I recently bought a bread machine and have been searching for a sandwich bread and this is fantastic! To work in my bread machine, I changed the servings to 12, and followed my machine instructions which say to add all liquid ingredients first, follow with all the dry ingredients and make a well on top for the yeast. It turned out perfect! I can't wait to make our club sandwiches with it.

Baked Potato Soup I

We made this exactly as it is written. This was thick, rich and very filling. Tastes great the first day, and reheats well and tastes great the second day too. It does a take a bit longer to cook than expected, so make sure to allow for a bit of extra time.

Pumpkin Bread IV

Loved this bread! I always was on the lookout for a great Pumpkin Bread recipe and this is it. To cut down on fat, I did equal parts vegetable oil and applesauce to make up the amount called for in the recipe.

Old Fashioned Potato Salad

This was the first time I made Potato Salad (although, I have eaten my fair share!) I thought this was a great, easy recipe to follow. If you have a preference of relish, sweet vs. dill, adjust the recipe accordingly.

Best Guacamole

Great basic recipe. I followed others suggestions to use lime juice instead of lemon. And to kick it up a bit, i stirred in a couple of tablespoons of Pico de Gallo (recipe on this website).

Pico De Gallo

I thought this was fantastic! I made it as is and everyone loved it. It tastes great the next day so the next time I make it I'll either make it the night before or earlier in the day.
