My mom would dice up all the onions and celery and to me, that signified the official start of the holiday season!! You HAVE to do it ALL by hand...anything less is cheating and totally unacceptable!!

My cooking tragedies
My very first Thanksgiving without my mom there (she moved to FLA) Everything was running perfectly, the sweet potato pies were done, the squash, turnips, dressing was waiting to go in the oven, I mean it was "DA BOMB!!" Table, flatware, stemware gleaming..unbelievable!! I went to check the turkey and OMG!! I put the bird in upside down!! It literally busted wide open! The horror!
