Cabbage Fat-Burning Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
I'm hooked. This is going to become a staple in my household. First of all, I didn't try this recipe for the fat-burning qualities (but hey, no complaints on the low cal/fat properties). I just wanted a good cabbage soup recipe so I could eat a little healthier. Not only is this recipe delicious how it is, but I blended some of it with a little cream for my kids. They LOVED IT! Now I have a secret weapon to get them to eat their veggies! Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Buttermilk Pancakes II

Great recipe! The batter seemed a little thick, but I went with it and they turned out perfect. I added some chopped pecans and the family loved them :-)

Salsa Chicken Burrito Filling

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
Yummy! It has a gourmet "Taco Bell-esque" (I'm making this a new word) kind of flavor to it. I loved it and will definitely make it again.

Sweet Corn Tomalito

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2010
¡Fabuloso! I followed the recipe to a T, short of using the microwave method of cooking it (Thank you MCKARIN for the exact directions on that one). This recipe rocks! My whole family—even my 2&1/2 year old—gobbled it up.

Key Lime Pie VIII

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2010
Yum! I made this one with fat free sweetened condensed milk (SCM) & Cool Whip Lite®, and it came out AWESOME. I was a little afraid to attempt the "healthier" version (only 1 can of SCM and no eggs), but both my husband and I licked our plates... literally!

There is no reason to even bother with another Key Lime Pie recipe... this is the one!

Hot Italian Giardiniera

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
Man this stuff is really good.... on just about everything. My favorite combo is to just use carrots, serrano peppers, and celery to mimic the traditional Chicago Italian Beef topping that my husband has gotten me hooked on.

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
Very tasty! The BBQ sauce is key though. My favorite is a combo of Jack Daniel's Original No. 7 sauce & Sweet Baby Ray's Award Winning Sauce with a dash of Garlic Salt mixed in. Yummy.

Rachael's Superheated Cajun Boiled Peanuts

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
Yes! I finally found a recipe for peanuts I used to eat all the time as a kid (yes, I've always liked food with a kick). This is a keeper! Beats regular "salt only" boiled peanuts any day.

Very addictive. Definitely double/triple the wet ingredients and add extra bugles. It's hard to put this one down!

KELLOGG'S* RICE KRISPIES* Squares Original Recipe

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
Always a classic! I make mine in two batches and (depending on the occasion) add different colored sugar or sprinkles, then layer them. They were a big hit at Christmas ;-)

Cauliflower With a Kick

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
I thought they were pretty good. The main bit of feedback I got is that people were expecting more of a "Kick". I'll definitely try to bring the seasoning up a notch for the next time I make them. Integrating parsnips was a fun thing though ;-)

Moist Garlic Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2009
Very tasty. Will definitely use again. I followed someone's suggestion of stuffing the chicken celery. It really helps keep the chicken moist. Now I do that any time I roast chicken.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2009
I made this bread and brought it to work...Top reviews from everyone who has tried this. I did make 2 loaves: One plain and one with chocolate chips. My husband was a HUGE fan of including the chocolate chips.

Dry Rub for Ribs

Ever since I tried this recipe, it's all I use. I do follow the suggestion of leaving the salt until just before baking them. This is my rub of choice now!

Cranberry Orange Loaf

Super simple to make. I didn't get to taste this one (made it as a gift), but it had rave reviews. I did add a handful of chopped dates, and left out the nuts for this recipe. Can't wait to make it again!

These are simply wonderful. I followed the recipe exactly with the exception of using craisins rather than raisins. Tons of compliments on these!

Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2008
Delicious! I actually didn't have enough PB on-hand, so used only a half cup of PB. To make up for the shortage, I added a spoonful of Nutella and a dollop of whipped cream cheese for some added flavor. Excellent turn-out! My son and I couldn't stop licking the bowl and mixer ;-)

Party Punch IX

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2008
Everyone loved this punch at my Dad's 60th surprise party. I split each recipe into 3 gallon size freezer bags. About 3 hours before you plan on serving, put a bag in the fridge to start softening. Then, as you make a new batch pull another bag out of the freezer to start thawing on the counter. To help break up the chunks, use a potato masher.

Cocktail Meatballs

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2008
These were a total hit at the last 2 parties I had! When I was planning the menu for my Dad's 60th, I got specific requests for these meatballs. I take the easy route and buy bags of pre-made Swedish-style meatballs from BJ's wholesale club ($9.99 a bag). They work like a charm!
