Spinach and Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2009
Good dip thats perfect for parties, tailgating, etc. My husband LOVES it for football on Sundays. It does not have all the flavor of other spinach and artichoke dips, but for the time and effort put forth in making it you can't go wrong!

Pizza Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2009
I was looking for a good 'base' recipe for pizza casserole, and this is it!! I followed the recipe as written, but added sausage, mushrooms, extra pepperoni, extra sauce, and olives per my families taste. PERFECT and easy recipe that made great leftovers and packed an awesome lunch!

Best Lemonade Ever

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
Great recipe that left my husband raving! I used some others ideas: microwaving the simple syrup versus the stove (I had the stove packed cooking dinner), and I added more sugar for our personal taste.

Wonderful recipe that reminded me of childhood days! My daughter is a fan of pancakes, and this was truly easy to mix up on a lazy Saturday morning!

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
Simply DIVINE!! I LOVED the recipe as is, but added a pack of banana pudding the second go around. Gave it a bit more flavor that my family loves! If you have a small family who only plans to eat this a day or two, halve the recipe. We still have 1/3 of the pan in the refrigerator now....3 days later.

Savory Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
My husband raves and raves and raves about this recipe! After trying it "as is" the first time, I added tweaks to cater to our family : stuffing mix instead of bread crumbs, extra spices on the chicken, etc. It's a no fail, that's so simple to make on a night after work!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2008
A solid recipe with good results. Not the BEST meatloaf I've had...but it's good nonetheless. The first time I made it I put the sauce at the bottom just for kicks, and my husband said, "Why not put it on top next time. It's good - but would be better on top!" He was right. I added the sauce to the top and it was delicious. The second time around, I did use less milk (about 1/2 cup) and I seasoned it with some of my favorite spices.

Grandma's Corn Pudding

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2008
This recipe REALLY brung back memories of being a kid in the backyard while Mama cooked dinner! Tried and true, this recipe is DELICIOUS and a crowd pleaser. (As others have noted - for a sweeter taste at about a cup of sugar.)

Deadly Delicious Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
A really good recipe, but my family was used to the traditional 'layered' lasagna. We all agreed it was good, but my husband asked me to "make it look like normal" next time. Haha.

Super Easy Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
The first time I made this recipe I did it as listed. As others said, it was a little bland and lacked the kick my family normally likes. The second time around, I marinated, seasoned and seared my chicken first, then added some potatoes and carrots to the mix. Because of the added ingredients and my desire for more sauce, I used 2 cans of cream of chicken and 1 can of cream of mushroom. Finally, I added some chicken stock, and halfway through cooking I added some more of my favorite seasonings to the mix. This came out SUPERB, and is going to be a staple for cold, busy days!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 23, 2008
I just made 144 of these cookies for a bake sale...and I think only 44 are going to make it to the bake sale table as I have been scarfing them down as they cooled on the counter. Delicious! I did make a few modifications (added a pinch of salt and slightly more vanilla) but made my first batch exactly as the recipe said. I'm in love, and have a new favorite recipe for chocolate chip cookies!!

Charleston Shrimp 'n' Gravy

This was a good recipe. Followed it to the tee, but ended up adding a lil 'kick' to it at the end to suit the spicy tastes of my family.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
This would have gotten 5 stars - but I did what others recommended: added carrots, celery, and cream of mushroom soup. Other that - it was super easy and DELICIOUS!
