Boiled Chicken

Reviewed: May 5, 2008
very simple. i use the slow cooker when makeing broths or stocks. i also hate wasteing the vegetables so i do something a friend taught me. i save the ends and parts of the veggies i normaly wouldnt in most recipes, and freeze them. then when i have a decent amount of vegetables saved i make this recipe or broth. works very well and i dont feel quilty discarding them when im done.

Baked Chicken with Applesauce Stuffing

Reviewed: May 5, 2008
very good, ive made this twice. once following the recipe and the second time with modifacations. both times it was very good. i however wasn't too fond of the texture of the breadcrumb stuffing, although the flavor was very good. so the second time i used regualr stuffing and added extra applesauce. we enjoyed this meal very much. i do love the idea though of using bread crumbs as stuffing, a great improvising idea!

Slow Cooker Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 5, 2008
very basic but very good. i did how ever add a cup of beer and one large onion quartered. i have also made this with a pork roast, which turns out oh so tender. this recipe has always been a staple in our house.

Green Bean and Canadian Bacon Casserole

Reviewed: May 5, 2008
we loved this side dish. i am always trying to find new ways of getting my carnivore of a boyfriend to eat more vegetables, and this recipe did the trick. he even liked it better than the traditional green bean casserole.

Smothered Bacon Chicken

Reviewed: May 5, 2008
this was very good and my vey picky boyfriend loved it! i made a few changes though. i flattened the chicken breast and rolled the precooked bacon inside the chicken. then to the cream of mushroom soup mixture i added about 3 tablespoons of dry ranch dressing mix. very good, one of very few recipes ive made that ended with NO leftvers.

Pork Steaks

Reviewed: May 5, 2008
i made this tonight and loved it! i also made quite a few changes. my bf doesnt like onions so i used a half an envelope of onion soup mix, combined it with flour and dredged the pork steaks in the mixture before browning. i also added about 1 1/2 cups of beef broth and a few tablespoons of worcestershire to the soy sauce. after the pork was done i thickened the sauce with flour to make gravy. i will definately make this again, so simple and yet so tasty.

Cranberry Chicken I

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2008
this i have to say was the first recipe i found on here that im slightly disapointed in. unlike most reviews, it wasnt the onion soup that bothered me, it was the french dressing. it was just too overpowering. all in all though it was fairly good. i will try this again but either sustituting the dressing alltogether or trying a different one.

Ground Beef Wellington

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2008
i just made this today for supper. like most recipes this was more of a starting point me.lol. i am loving this recipe. i tweaked it quite a bit though. i sauted celery, onion, mushrooms and garlic together and added it to the meat instead of the gravy. i also added crumbled bacon, cheddar and parmesan cheese, a handful of breadcrumbs, and about 3 tblsps of dry onion soup mix. then wrapped it like it called and used a egg wash on it. also with the gray i added a tblsp of the dry onion soup mix and a packet of brown gravy mix. we absolutely loved this. the versatility of this recipe is endless. i cant wait to make it again!

Chicken Breasts Stuffed with Crabmeat

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2008
i love this! i am actually eating it right now. despite what others have said, i thought this was as simple as it gets. i usually flatten and roll the chicken breasts, but i was short on time today and did it the way the recipe calls. i cant wait for my boyfriend to come home tonight and try it. this recie i will definatly share with friends. its simple, yet elegant, perfect for company and oh so yummy. i did though add baby bella's and baked it in butter. ha ha i cant say it enough how great this is.

Stuffed Pork Chops II

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2008
suprisingly this was very good. the flavor of real stuffing is there, the only complaint was that the stuffing was mushy. this is a good recipe when your cupboards are getting low. i will make this again definatly.
