Easy Mushroom Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2009
This is the same recipe that my mom has been making since I was little. It's super easy to make and so good. My guests are always impressed and always ask for the recipe. The only difference is that I use 1 beef bouillon cube with 9-10 oz. of water instead of the can of beef broth. This is a definite keeper!

Red Potato Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2009
I just made this tonight for dinner and it was excellent. Based on some other reviews, I did make a few minor 'adjustments'. I put my 13 red potatoes in the microwave for about 15 min. before quartering them. I then lined the pan with the potatoes and put the chicken on top. After pouring the Italian dressing (I used Good Seasons mix and made my own) over all of it, I sprinkled Garlic over the whole thing. It was all delicious, had great flavor and was devoured by my husband and 2 young boys!

This is so easy and so good! I just covered the bottom of the crock pot with water, brushed the turkey with melted butter and then sprinkled it with the soup mix. Delicious!!

Busy Day Barbeque Brisket

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2009
I omitted the cayenne pepper and used Sonny's sweet BBQ sauce. The brisket was so flavorful and moist. Super simple and very tasty!

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
This is super easy and awesome tasting. No changes needed at all! I normally cook on high for 3 hours, then turn to low for the rest of the time. Thanks for posting! This has become a regular in our rotation.

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
Very good and very easy. I did as others suggested and put the olive oil, minced garlic, salt & pepper in a large Zip-loc with the chicken (I used 6 'tenders'), coated all the chicken, then dredged in the Italian breadcrumb/Parmesan cheese mixture. This worked great and was a snap to clean up. I did have quite a bit of the breadcrumb/cheese mixture left over, so these quantities could be cut down some. Otherwise, great recipe with great results. Served with spaghetti for a traditional Chicken Parmesan.

Cola Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2010
Very good recipe that is easy and I normally have all of the ingredients on hand. The made a few minor changes: I sprinkled each pork chop with salt, pepper, and onion powder before pouring the cola glaze over them. And I added a heaping teaspoon of minced garlic to the cola, ketchup, and brown sugar. The pork chops were tasty and, juicy, and not tough at all. And even my two kids liked it! Highly recommend for a quick, simple weeknight meal.

Chocolate Brittle Surprise

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2010
Excellent, though I did make a few changes. I just used regular Saltines and I used milk chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and toffee bits over the top. My family doesn't like nuts, so I left those out. Great basic recipe, though, I know I'll be making these a lot!

Sweet Mustard Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2010
Very easy recipe using ingredients I keep in my pantry. I did follow some of the reviewer's advice and cut the butter to 1/4 cup (or 1/2 a stick). I used 6 chicken breast tenders and baked for 30 minutes, basting twice during that time. I also poured some of the remaining sauce over the chicken when I served it. A hit with the hubby and two young boys. Thanks.

Taco Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2010
Very good, easy recipe for the family. Based on some reviews, I made a few changes: I sprayed the pan with Pam. I baked the crescent rolls a little under time. I omitted the sour cream in the recipe and just had it to use on the side. I only used about 7 oz (half bag) of the tortilla chips. Satisfied my husband, 5 year old and 4 year old sons. Thanks for posting!

Excellent Pie! Using other's suggestions, I used 4 cups blueberries, 1 cup sugar, 4 Tbsp cornstarch and 2 Tbsp butter with the refrigerated pie crusts (per pie) and they turned out great!! Thank you.

Simple But Awesome Lemon Pepper Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
Delicious!! My family is not big fans of lemon pepper, so I used a mixture of equal parts garlic powder, seasoned salt, and parsley in place of the lemon pepper. Other than that, followed the recipe and it was awesome!
