I made this last weekend for a family BBQ in Yorkshire, and it was amazing. I personally thought the cedar plank contributed more towards the flavour than this marinade but they worked together excellently. If you don't like some of the flavours in this dish, don't be afraid to use a slightly different / more simple marinade but definitely keep the cedar plank cooking method. I grilled on a BBQ without a hood so I placed some tin-foil over the top and it smoked the fish beautifully.
