Tuna Noodle Casserole III

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2008
Good, EASY recipe. 8 oz. pasta was enough for me, and I heeded the other reviewers comments: 1 less can of soup, added rosemary and added pepper... worked well. I also sprinkled bread crumbs on top.

Spicy Mango Sweet Potato Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2008
I would definately make again...loved the sweetness of the mango. I don't like foods too spicy so I left out some of the hot sauce. I would have liked a bit more depth of flavor in the sauce... may play with ginger or curry next time.

Summer Zucchini Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
It was alright. I left out the sour cream and added some cubed chicken. For me, the stuffing overpowered everything else. If I were to make it again, I would use this dish as a side, and not as a main course.

Syrupy Apples

Exactly what I was looking for. EASY. I added a bit of cinnamon and thought it worked well.

Sweet Potato Casserole IV

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
I cut both brown & white sugar in half, and it was still too sweet for my taste. Somehow it did taste a bit better as leftovers. I doubt I'll make this recipe again.

Day Before Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
Execution was awesome, glad to have a dish off the stove well before dinner. All the cream did take flavor away from the potatoes; I will cut back next time.

Chicken Stuffed Bundles

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2008
Flavors were good, especially the gravy, but execution was awful. I had to add more shortening to resemble "coarse crumbs", and after rolling the dough to 1/8" thickness, most of the bundles broke. Maybe if you've been making these for 40 years you can prep in 20 minutes, but if you're attempting this for the first time, allow more time. Also, I cooked the bundles for well over 30 minutes, and the pastry never really flaked. The full recipe was too much of a hassle to make again, sorry.

Pasta Primavera with Italian Turkey Sausage

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
This recipe has become a favorite and regular. I leave out the bouillon, but leave everything else the same.

Totally Tangy Baked French Fries

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
We love this recipe so much that is a regular in our house (though we leave out the cayenne). We dice the potatoes, cook covered in the microwave for 10 minutes, stir, cook another 10 minutes, and they're perfect....cuts the cooking time by more than half!

Creme de Menthe Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2009
Family favorite...been making this recipe for years...the only difference is that my recipe calls for 1/2 c. butter for the brownies instead of the 1 c. that this recipe calls for. Also...I cut the chocolate frosting step in half and drizzle it on top of the creme de menthe frosting instead of making it a full layer.

Quinoa and Black Beans

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
Loved it! I did use only one can of beans. Will make again.

Cashew Crusted Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2010
Very good. I used a 10 oz. jar of Smuckers "Simply Fruit" instead of the preserves (less sugar), and it turned out just fine with plenty of sauce to my liking. I cooked the chicken breasts for 40 minutes though. Will make again, thanks for sharing!

Garlic Chicken And Grapes

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2010
This was definately "unusual" as per the description. If you're looking for a new way to try chicken, go ahead and try this recipe. I didn't care all that much for it and thought the vinegar was strong. I would have given 3 stars, but the warmed left-overs on the next day were not very good. I will not be making this again.

Andouille and Chicken Creole Pasta

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2010
Pretty good. It seemed to me that the majority of the flavor came from the creole seasonings and not necessarily the andouille. I will make again, but will omit the andouille and just have chicken creole pasta as a much healthier option.

Creamy Horseradish Garlic Spread

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2010
I tried this with beef and as a veggie dip, and enjoyed it more with the beef. I also mixed 1/2 cup of the spread with the hard-boiled yolks from 12 eggs to make deviled eggs and everyone loved them.

Valentino's Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
The recipe was OK, though it was very easy. The crust was very dense and chewy. With so many other pizza crust recipes on this site, I will try another one.

The Meatball that Fell Off the Table

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
My mom made this recipe growing up and it is my all-time favorite meal, served over mashed potatoes. I like gravy so I always use two cans of soup, and our recipe doesn't use nutmeg. I'll have to try baking the meatballs, since you do have to be attentive turning the meatballs as they brown on the stove top.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2011
Delicious. I cooked my tenderloin in the oven as per the package instructinos and the flavor with this marinade was great. I did baste the tenderloin a few times while cooking, and if using the oven be sure to use a deep dish/pan so the liquid won't spill. My grocery store has a low sodium dry onion soup mix that I use.

Simple Herb Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
I use this recipe all the time, it's great. Like another reviewer, instead of the bouillon cubes and water, I use a can of low sodium chicken broth. My preference is to use half the sage. I also just dump all the ingredients into my rice cooker and pop it into the microwave and cook per the instructions on the rice box. Thanks for sharing!

Chicken with Sausage and Dried Fruit

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
This dish was barely OK. My chicken came out dry too. I didn't think there was much flavor from the fruit in the dish and the turkey sausage really seemed like it didn't belong. I didn't finish the leftovers the next day. Sorry, but I won't be making this dish again.
